On Monday we brought you the news of Bellevue police investigating Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch for an "allegation of an assault and personal property damage."

It was a weird, out-of-nowhere piece of news and the Seahawks are calling any accusations on Lynch "bogus."

"While we maintain the utmost respect for the investigative process, after speaking with Marshawn, we are comfortable these accusations are bogus," the Seahawks said in a statement.

The Bellevue police department hadn't made any arrests (obviously) and hadn't even spoken to Lynch when news of the investigation broke.

Lynch had been holding out from training camp before Seattle threw him some duckets vis-a-vis tweaking his contract and getting him to show up.
