Saints tight end Jimmy Graham once broke the goal posts at the Georgia Dome after scoring a touchdown, causing the NFL to cite a safety hazard and make it illegal to dunk on goal posts during games.

On Friday night, Graham issued a not-so-silent protest against the league, throwing down a couple of jams after scoring a pair of touchdowns against the Titans, one of MANY penalties called against the Saints Friday night.

The dunk resulted in a flag for Graham which probably means he was very happy about the whole situation. NOPE.

Saints coach Sean Payton is even less happy.

"Yes, I was. I'm very upset. Would you be upset? I was, particularly," Payton said.

The logic here is Graham cost the team 30 total yards for a meaningless celebration. Is it annoying for the league to make dunking illegal? Yes. Absolutely. Does it fall under the "No Fun League" complaint many people have with pro football? It sure does.

But is it smart of Graham to keep the officials on high alert for his post-touchdown actions (when he led the league in receiving touchdowns last year)? No way.

You gotta play by the rules, even when the rules are draconian.
