Bruce Allen: Redskins are 'winning off the field'

By Will Brinson | NFL Writer

Bruce Allen ladies and gentleman! (USATSI)

Why do you play the game? You play the game to win. But a close second to actually winning the game on the field? Winning it OFF the field.

Redskins President and GM Bruce Allen cited Washington's off-field success on Wednesday during an end-of-year press conference while talking about a 4-12 football team with more head coaches (4) than winning seasons (3) in the last decade.

Also, what are the Redskins "winning" off the field exactly? The battle over their name which many people find racist? Maybe Allen was referring to the public-relations debacle the team constantly finds itself in.

NO MEANS NO.

Whatever the case, everyone was very impressed.
