Fantasy football, March Madness and office productivity

The NCAA tournament is upon us, and that can only mean one thing: We'll see articles about all the productivity businesses lose to workers following March Madness.

But what about Fantasy football?

A study by the firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas says Fantasy football costs U.S. businesses about 6.5 billion per year. The average Fantasy player spends nine hours per week reading or watching something about Fantasy sports, and three hours per week managing his or her team, according to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association.

Those numbers seem low. But maybe it's because I'm in the bubble.
