DeSean Jackson's addition is creating excitement about the Redskins' offense, especially Robert Griffin III's Fantasy outlook. Throw in the signing of speedy No. 3 receiver Andre Roberts, tight end Jordan Reed's return to health and new coach Jay Gruden's aggressive playcalling, and Washington is poised to put up big numbers.
The schedule isn't daunting.
Here are Washington's home opponents and their ranking in total defense last year: Cowboys (32nd), Eagles (29th), Giants (8th), Rams (15th), Seahawks (1st), Jaguars (27th), Titans (14th), Buccaneers (17th)
Now the road opponents: Cowboys (32nd), Eagles (29th), Giants (8th), Cardinals (6th), 49ers (5th), Texans (7th), Vikings (31st), Colts (20th).
Of course, defenses change dramatically year to year. The Giants and Buccaneers look significantly improved after going on free-agency sprees. The Cowboys and Eagles, whom the Redskins face twice each, remain very attractive matchups.
Senior Fantasy Writer Dave Richard says the Redskins' schedule isn't scary, as it contains only five teams that can pressure quarterbacks regularly without blitzing. He listed the entire NFC West plus the Texans, especially if they draft Jadeveon Clowney at No. 1 overall.
The Redskins will field five surefire Fantasy starters -- Griffin, Alfred Morris, Garcon, Jackson and Reed -- and their schedule won't hurt.
