| Miami Dolphins at Carolina Panthers | |||
| The Wildcat made a roaring return after a quiet three weeks and helped the Dolphins gain 199 rushing yards on 5.5 yards per carry. Dolphins RB Ricky Williams might be asked to take the role of Ronnie Brown, who limped off the field with an ankle injury last week and most likely won't play against the Panthers. Panthers QB Jake Delhomme hopes to limit his mistakes since Carolina is 2-1 in games where he has not turned the ball over. Result: Miami Dolphins 24, Carolina Panthers 17 | |||

| New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers | |||
| After a fantastic start to the season, the Saints' passing game has struggled lately. The problems continued against the Rams as Drew Brees passed for 223 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but he also threw two interceptions and finished with a passer rating of 89.1. Brees should take advantage of the Buccaneers' defense, which does not make plays when it counts and struggles to generate a pass rush. The Bucs also have trouble running the football. RBs Cadillac Williams and Derrick Ward will test a Saints defense that watched Steven Jackson run for 100 yards on 16 first-half carries, but then held him to 31 yards on 10 attempts in the second half. | |||
| Atlanta Falcons at NY Giants | |||
| Falcons RB Michael Turner ran for 111 yards on nine carries before leaving the game with a high right ankle sprain. Jerious Norwood is still recovering from a right hip flexor. The Falcons could rely more heavily on QB Matt Ryan against a Giants defense that has lost S Kenny Phillips and has listed CB Aaron Ross as questionable with an injured left hamstring. Expect the Giants to run often with Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw against a Falcons defense that allowed the Panthers' dynamic duo of DeAngelo Williams (19 for 92 yards) and Jonathan Stewart (11 for 82 yards and two touchdowns) to rush for 185 yards. | |||
| Seattle Seahawks at Minnesota Vikings | |||
| After rushing for a franchise-worst 14 yards against Arizona in the first meeting between the two teams, the Seahawks finsihed with 164 yards on 24 carries last week. Running back Julius Jones has a rib injury, so second-year back Justin Forsett will face a Vikings defense that is solid against the run. Vikings QB Brett Favre threw for a season-high 344 yards last week. Favre faces a Seahawks defense that struggles to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. | |||
| Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs | |||
| Last week, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed only 20 of 40 for 174 yards with an interception. Roethlisberger should bounce back against a Chiefs defense that has some key injuries including LB Mike Vrabel, who suffered a knee injury in the second half against Oakland. The Chiefs finally got a rushing touchdown last week, which ended a string of 39 consecutive quarters without one. The Chiefs' rushing attack should struggle against the Steelers' No. 1 rush defense which held the Bengals to 61 yards on 29 carries. | |||
| Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars | |||
| Bills QB Trent Edwards was back on the field after missing 2 ½ games with a concussion, but he made some mistakes including a pick-six in the final three minutes that iced the game for Tennessee. Edwards could be in for another tough game against a Jaguars defense that held Mark Sanchez to a 59.3 passer rating. Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew should have success against a Bills defense that allowed Chris Johnson to break a number of big runs, including a 28-yard touchdown scamper. | |||
| San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers | |||
| 49ers RB Frank Gore could struggle against a Packers defense that forced the Cowboys to abandon the run and held them to just 61 rushing yards. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers faces a 49ers defense that did not record any sacks on Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, but got enough pressure on him to force five interceptions. | |||
| Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions | |||
| Cleveland goes into Week 11 ranked last in the NFL in points per game (8.7), yards per game (214.3), passing yards per game (116.2) and yards allowed per game (394.1). Detroit is ranked last in the league for points allowed per game (29.3) and passing yards allowed per game (271.7). On the bright side, one of these 1-8 teams is about to get another win. The Lions' offensive line allowed QB Matthew Stafford to get beat up against the Ravens, including three sacks. Detroit may be able to protect him better against the Browns, and from there, it's a question of whether his receivers can avoid dropping the ball. | |||
| Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys | |||
| Washington didn't allow a sack on QB Jason Campbell's first 19 dropbacks and he responded with a 100.3 rating. Campbell could be under more pressure against a Cowboys defense that sacked Aaron Rodgers four times. Cowboys QB Tony Romo faces a Redskins defense that had miscommunication problems against the Broncos until backup QB Chris Simms replaced Kyle Orton. | |||
| Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens | |||
| Colts QB Peyton Manning is coming off a tough win against the Patriots in which he threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Manning faces a Ravens defense that ended an interception drought at 16 quarters by picking off Brady Quinn twice. Ravens QB Joe Flacco appears to be regressing and makes too many checkdowns when his receivers aren't immediately open. Flacco hopes to take advantage of the Colts' rookie corners after Tom Brady passed for 375 yards and three touchdowns. | |||
| Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams | |||
| Cardinals QB Kurt Warner is coming off a very productive week which included 340 passing yards and two touchdowns. Warner faces a Rams defense that did a solid job holding down QB Drew Brees, but struggled against tight ends Dave Thomas (5-45) and Jeremy Shockey (3-42), who combined for eight of Brees' 18 completions and 87 yards. Rams RB Steven Jackson could find room to run against a Carindals defense that allowed the Seahawks to gain 164 yards on 24 carries. | |||
| Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders | |||
| The Raiders benched struggling QB JaMarcus Russell for the second time this season when he struggled to produce vs. Kansas City last week. Coach Tom Cable said that there is a chance that either Bruce Gradkowski or third-stringer Charlie Frye could start in Russell's place against Cincinnati, although Cable added the Gradkowski is dealing with a hamstring issue. Oakland's starting RB Darren McFadden has returned to action, but only got four carries against the Chiefs. The Bengals have allowed just 83.4 rushing yards per game this season, which could force the Raiders to pass. Bengals QB Carson Palmer will be looking for a bounce-back performance at Oakland after the Steelers held him to 178 passing yards and no touchdowns last week. | |||
| NY Jets at New England Patriots | |||
| The Jets fell below .500 with their second straight loss last week, falling to Jacksonville. Jets defensive line coach Kerry Locklin was dismissed from the team following the loss, which saw the Jets' defense allow key catches for big gains in the Jaguars' final game-winning drive and have consistent trouble tackling. The Patriots let a healthy lead slip away last week against the undefeated Colts, but QB Tom Brady still passed for 375 yards and three touchdowns. The Jets defense has to pull itself together before heading into Foxboro. | |||
| San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos | |||
| After a 6-0 start to the season, the Broncos have lost their last three games. Making matters worse, QB Kyle Orton is questionable to play against San Diego after injuring his ankle against the Redskins last week. Orton passed for 193 yards in the first half of that game. After he left with the injury, backup QB Chris Simms could only complete three of 13 passes for 13 yards. Chargers QB Philip Rivers threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles. San Diego also mustered 119 rushing yards behind a strong LaDainian Tomlinson performance, breathing life into a facet of the Chargers offense that had been struggling. That could be key against a Broncos defense that allowed the Redskins' Ladell Betts 114 rushing yards last week. | |||
| Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears | |||
| Eagles RB Brian Westbrook suffered a concussion against the Chargers last week -- his second such injury in a one-month period. Philadelphia coach Andy Reid said Monday that they don't know whether Westbrook will play again this season, but it's safe to assume he's out for the Chicago game. Philadelphia QB Donovan McNabb passed for a whopping 450 yards in the loss to the Chargers, but only completed four of 12 throws in the red zone. The Bears have lost four of their last five games. Chicago QB Jay Cutler threw for 307 yards against the 49ers, but he was picked off five times and did not throw for a touchdown. | |||

| Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans | |||
| Titans QB Vince Young completed 17 of 25 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Bills last week. But on defense, the Titans have a tall order in front of them in stopping Houston QB Matt Schaub. Tennessee is the second worst team in the NFL in passing defense, allowing opponents an average of 270.4 passing yards per game. Schaub and the Texans offense come into the game averaging 284.1 yards per game with the pass, the third best average in the league. Titans RB Chris Johnson scored three touchdowns in a home-field losing effort to Houston in Week 2. | |||
