MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS
Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014

Dallas
Cowboys
31
Both of these teams will have a week of rest before a Thursday game, which is rare. Both teams were blown out on Thanksgiving Day, so they need a bounce-back. The Cowboys are the better team. I think an offense that struggled against the Eagles will get it cranked up here against a bad Bears defense. Cowboys get back on track.
Result: Dallas Cowboys 41, Chicago Bears 28
Chicago
Bears

Cincinnati
Bengals
24
The Steelers will be playing for their season here. They have to win this game. But the Bengals have really come together on defense, and the Steelers are struggling on that side of the ball. That's the difference. Bengals take it.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 21, Pittsburgh Steelers 42
Pittsburgh
Steelers
17

Indianapolis
Colts
30
The Browns could be making a quarterback change to Johnny Manziel. If not, it's Brian Hoyer again. He won't be able to keep up with Andrew Luck in this one. Neither quarterback will. Colts roll.
Result: Indianapolis Colts 25, Cleveland Browns 24
Cleveland
Browns
20

Detroit
Lions
28
The Lions enter a soft part of their schedule with a game against a Tampa Bay team that has struggled all season long. The only concern here is a possible letdown by the Lions after their blowout of the Bears. That won't matter. Lions take it.
Result: Detroit Lions 34, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers
13

Houston
Texans
21
The Jaguars won their second game last week, which could be good for the confidence. The Texans are still in the thick of the playoff chase. Ryan Fitzpatrick got it cranked up last week. But it will be tougher going here. Even so, look for the Texans to win it.
Result: Houston Texans 27, Jacksonville Jaguars 13
Jacksonville
Jaguars
20

Miami
Dolphins
23
This will have the feel of a playoff game. Both teams are 7-5 and in the mix. Miami is home for the first time in three weeks. That will matter. Ryan Tannehill is playing his best football and that will be the difference.
Result: Miami Dolphins 13, Baltimore Ravens 28
Baltimore
Ravens

Minnesota
Vikings
21
The Jets threw it 13 times against the Dolphins on Monday night. Even by Rex Ryan's standards, that's low. That's saying something. You can't win games that way. But you can stay close. They will here, but they just won't win it.
Result: Minnesota Vikings 30, NY Jets 24
New York
Jets
17

New Orleans
Saints
31
The Saints lost their last three home games, but that won't happen here. The Panthers are playing consecutive road games and they are struggling. Look for the Saints to get it cranked up in a big way and blow them out in a big division game.
Result: New Orleans Saints 10, Carolina Panthers 41
Carolina
Panthers
14

New York
Giants
28
The Giants are playing consecutive road games outside the division, and lost to the Jaguars last week. You have to wonder what the motivation will be here. The Titans, though, aren't playing good football -- on either side of the ball. The Giants find a way.
Result: NY Giants 36, Tennessee Titans 7
Tennessee
Titans

St. Louis
Rams
27
The Rams have come alive in the past month on defense, so this will be a challenge for Colt McCoy and the Washington offense. The Redskins defense is a disaster right now, so look for Shaun Hill to do some things down the field. Rams take it.
Result: St. Louis Rams 24, Washington Redskins 0
Washington
Redskins
17

Arizona
Cardinals
23
Both of these teams have lost consecutive games to put a damper on their seasons. But Arizona is home after two weeks on the road and they get back to playing good football. Their defense will be too much for a limited Kansas City offense.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 17, Kansas City Chiefs 14
Kansas City
Chiefs
17

Denver
Broncos
30
The Bills bring that fierce defensive front to Denver to try and slow down Peyton Manning and that new-look running game. Can they do it? I think they will slow the run, but that means it's on Manning again and he will light up the secondary.
Result: Denver Broncos 24, Buffalo Bills 17
Buffalo
Bills

San Francisco
49ers
31
The Battle of the Bay features a good team and a bad one. The 49ers looked awful the last time out against Seattle, but the Raiders are the perfect tonic. The 49ers get it going here in a big way.
Result: San Francisco 49ers 13, Oakland Raiders 24
Oakland
Raiders

Philadelphia
Eagles
27
This is the ultimate matchup of a good defense in Seattle against a good offense in the Eagles. So look to the other two units to decide this one. I think the Philadelphia defense has made big strides, and they will pressure Russell Wilson behind a bad line enough to limit Seattle's offense. Eagles take it.
Result: Philadelphia Eagles 14, Seattle Seahawks 24
Seattle
Seahawks
17

San Diego
Chargers
23
This is a long trip for the Patriots after a road game last week at Green Bay. That's a tough challenge. San Diego showed something coming back at Baltimore last week. I think this is a perfect spot for the Chargers to keep it rolling. Philip Rivers out-duels Tom Brady.
Result: San Diego Chargers 14, New England Patriots 23
New England
Patriots

Green Bay
Packers
38
The Packers are rolling at home, blowing out teams. That's not a good sign for an Atlanta team that has struggled at times on defense. Look for Aaron Rodgers to put up some big numbers. The Falcons won't keep up in the Green Bay cold.
Result: Green Bay Packers 43, Atlanta Falcons 37
Atlanta
Falcons
