MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS

Chicago
Bears
28
The Giants might be playing for their season here. They've been horrible so far. They have to quit turning it over, but this Bears team is good at taking it away with 14. Jay Cutler should have opportunities to make plays down the field. The Giants have struggled on defense. Bears push the Giants to 0-6.
Result: Chicago Bears 27, NY Giants 21
New York
Giants

Green Bay
Packers
27
The Packers seemed to right things last week coming out of the bye. But they will play this one without Clay Matthews, their best pass rusher. The Ravens got after the quarterback last week, but this week I think Aaron Rodgers gets the best of that defense. Packers take it on the road.
Result: Green Bay Packers 19, Baltimore Ravens 17
Baltimore
Ravens

Cincinnati
Bengals
21
The Bengals get a break here facing Thad Lewis making his first Bills start for the injured EJ Manuel at quarterback. The Bengals shut down Tom Brady last week, but they have to be careful of a letdown here. I donít think they have one.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 27, Buffalo Bills 24
Buffalo
Bills

Cleveland
Browns
21
The Browns will start Brandon Weeden likely the rest of the way after Brian Hoyer was lost for the season. The Lions were lifeless on offense last week at Green Bay without Calvin Johnson, but he should be back. This is a second consecutive road game for them, and that's tough. The Browns are playing well on defense. Browns take it.
Result: Cleveland Browns 17, Detroit Lions 31
Detroit

Houston
Texans
30
This is a huge game for Matt Schaub. He has really struggled this season, and the pressure is on. The Rams are 27th in defense and 27th against the run. Look for a lot of Arian Foster to help take off the pressure on Schaub. Houston gets it back on track at home and ease that pressure -- for a week.
Result: Houston Texans 13, St. Louis Rams 38
St. Louis
Rams

Kansas City
Chiefs
24
The Chiefs have impressed with a 5-0 record, mainly behind a defense that is ranked seventh in the league. Oakland looked good in beating the Chargers last week. Terrelle Pryor did some good things. But this is a big step up in terms of quality of defense. Chiefs win easily.
Result: Kansas City Chiefs 24, Oakland Raiders 7
Oakland
Raiders

Minnesota
Vikings
20
The Panthers are playing consecutive road games, while the Vikings are coming off a bye. Edge: Minnesota. The Vikings are expected to start Christian Ponder, but he will be on a short leash. Carolina is third in total defense, and good against the run, so the Vikings have to get something in the pass game. I say they do.
Result: Minnesota Vikings 10, Carolina Panthers 35
Carolina
Panthers
14

New York
Jets
17
The Jets impressed with their victory over the Falcons Monday night. But that means they are on a short week with the Steelers coming off a bye. I still think this will come down to the Jets defensive front against that Steelers line. Geno Smith wins again.
Result: NY Jets 6, Pittsburgh Steelers 19
Pittsburgh
Steelers

Tampa Bay
Buccaneers
27
The Bucs are coming off a bye and will do so with Josh Freeman being sent packing. How does that impact this team? Can they move on? The Eagles are playing consecutive road games after beating the Giants last week. That's tough, made tougher by a team coming off the bye. Bucs take it to give Mike Glennon his first NFL victory.
Result: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20, Philadelphia Eagles 31
Philadelphia
Eagles
24

Denver
Broncos
40
Denver is favored by 28. That's the biggest spread ever. There's a reason for that. The Jaguars have been blown out in all five games. They are also playing consecutive road games, and backup Chad Henne will start. Denver big.
Result: Denver Broncos 35, Jacksonville Jaguars 19
Jacksonville
Jaguars

Seattle
Seahawks
31
The Seahawks lost for the first time last week, but they are a different team at home. They've been on the road for two weeks, so getting back home helps right things. They are much better there. The Titans are 26tth in offense, and will have a backup quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick starting. That's bad in Seattle.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 20, Tennessee Titans 13
Tennessee
Titans

New England
Patriots
29
The Patriots did nothing on offense last week against the Bengals. They now must face an improved Saints defense. But New Orleans is playing a second consecutive road game outside the division. And Tom Brady doesn't get held down two weeks in a row. Patriots get back on track in a fun, high-scoring game.
Result: New England Patriots 30, New Orleans Saints 27
New Orleans
Saints

San Francisco
49ers
21
The 49ers have gone back to their roots. They pounded teams the past two weeks with the run game. They will try and do that to the Cardinals, but Arizona is second in the league in run defense. That will force Colin Kaepernick to make some plays down the field. He's been erratic. I like the Cardinals to keep it close.
Result: San Francisco 49ers 32, Arizona Cardinals 20
Arizona
Cardinals

Dallas
Cowboys
30
The Cowboys lost a tough to one to the Broncos last week, so it will be interesting to see how Tony Romo bounces back. The Dallas defense has had trouble with the pass, and Robert Griffin III seemed to get it going in his last game two weeks ago. The Redskins are off a bye, so they will be rested. But I think Dallas bounces back.
Result: Dallas Cowboys 31, Washington Redskins 16

Indianapolis
Colts
23
The Colts are riding high and beat the 49ers on their last trip to the West Coast. This is a Monday night game against a team that lost last week. That's tough. But I think the improvement on both Colts lines comes into play here. Colts go to 5-1.
Result: Indianapolis Colts 9, San Diego Chargers 19
San Diego
