MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS

Carolina
Panthers
20
Could this be the end for Greg Schiano if the Bucs lose at home? Tampa Bay is struggling on offense, can't play the pass on defense that well, and Carolina has gotten it going the past two weeks. I think Cam Newton has a good game here, but for some reason I think the Bucs hang around -- and not because they like their coach.
Result: Carolina Panthers 31, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13

Detroit
Lions
34
This is a tough spot for the Cowboys. They are also playing a second consecutive road game, and last week's was inside the division. The Lions lost at home last week, so they can't afford another home loss. The Lions will have a lot of chances down the field against a Dallas secondary that has struggled this season. Look for Matt Stafford to outduel Tony Romo.
Result: Detroit Lions 31, Dallas Cowboys 30

San Francisco
49ers
33
This will be ugly for the London fans. The only thing that could save the Jaguars here is a lull by the 49ers being so many time zones from home. Nah, forget it. San Francisco will run it down the heart of the Jaguars defense. The Jaguars will turn it over a couple of times. Blowout city.
Result: San Francisco 49ers 42, Jacksonville Jaguars 10
Jacksonville
Jaguars

Kansas City
Chiefs
26
The Chiefs are riding high at 7-0, the last of the undefeated teams. They aren't always pretty doing it, but with that defense they've found a way. Cleveland is playing a second consecutive road game, and that's tough, but especially tough in Arrowhead. Jason Campbell takes over for the Browns at quarterback for Brandon Weeden. Does it matter? Chiefs big.
Result: Kansas City Chiefs 23, Cleveland Browns 17
Cleveland
Browns

New England
Patriots
27
Both teams are coming off bad losses. The Dolphins are having problems turning the ball over, while the Patriots are a plus-5 in that department. That will show up here. Tom Brady needs to get it going, and I think this is the spot he does that. The Patriots take it.
Result: New England Patriots 27, Miami Dolphins 17

New Orleans
Saints
34
The Bills are playing consecutive road games. It's even worse when it's in the Superdome against a team coming off a bye. Buffalo is 24th in total defense, which is not a good number when going against the Saints' explosive offense. Look for Drew Brees to have a big day.
Result: New Orleans Saints 35, Buffalo Bills 17
Buffalo

Philadelphia
Eagles
31
The Giants are coming off their first victory Monday night, but now must face a rival on a short week. That's tough to do. The Eagles will have Mike Vick back as the starter, which will put a lot of pressure on a Giants defense that isn't very good. Look for the Eagles to get their offense back on track here. But the Giants will get their points as well.
Result: Philadelphia Eagles 7, NY Giants 15
New York
Giants

Cincinnati
Bengals
27
The Jets are riding high after beating the Patriots last week, but this is a tough test. Cincinnati is home after winning two consecutive road games. They have the pass rush to get after Geno Smith. Look for the Bengals to continue to let Andy Dalton take shots down the field. It's tough to run on the Jets' second-ranked run defense, so this is a game for Dalton and A.J. Green.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 49, NY Jets 9
New York
Jets

Pittsburgh
Steelers
21
The Steelers have won two consecutive games and look to be getting it going. They are playing better on defense, and that will show up here. The Raiders are coming off a bye, and this will be a tough challenge for Terrelle Pryor. Oakland will hang around for a while, but the Steelers take it.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 18, Oakland Raiders 21
Oakland
Raiders

Atlanta
Falcons
27
The Falcons seemed to get back on track last week against Tampa Bay. But was that just because it was Tampa Bay? This is a long trip against a pretty good defense. Can Harry Douglas do it again? Arizona's offense is struggling. I see the Falcons getting up early here and then the Cardinals turning it over as they try to get back in it. Falcons win second in a row.
Result: Atlanta Falcons 13, Arizona Cardinals 27
Arizona
Cardinals

Denver
Broncos
38
The Broncos are coming off their first loss, which should have them reeling a bit. Or were they exposed against the Colts some on defense? The Redskins can score, and Robert Griffin III seems to be getting more comfortable by the week. But the Redskins defense is terrible. Peyton Manning will light it up.
Result: Denver Broncos 45, Washington Redskins 21
Washington

Green Bay
Packers
31
The Vikings are coming off a horrible showing against the Giants. Josh Freeman was bad in his first start. Now he has an extra week to get more of the offense to use. Does it matter? Minnesota's defense is terrible and Aaron Rodgers will light it up. Freeman can't keep up.
Result: Green Bay Packers 44, Minnesota Vikings 31

Seattle
Seahawks
28
The Rams will start Kellen Clemens here in place of the injured Sam Bradford. Good luck with that. Clemens knows the offense, having played for Brian Schottenheimer with the Jets, but he isn't very good. The Seattle defense is one of the best, ranking second in the league. And they are rested after playing last Thursday. The Rams have big problems. Seattle is rolling.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 14, St. Louis Rams 9
