Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis RamsFan picks
24The Vikings are on a short week, off an emotional Monday night victory over the Packers, so this could be a tough one. But the Rams aren't any good. Even so, something says this is closer than expected. The Rams have to show up sometime, don't they?
Result: Minnesota Vikings 38, St. Louis Rams 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia EaglesFan picks
31Donovan McNabb returns as a starter for the first time since breaking a rib in the opener. He faces a Tampa Bay team playing a second consecutive road game. This one will be a lot tougher than last week against the Redskins. McNabb doesn't show any rust. This will be a blowout.
Result: Philadelphia Eagles 33, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 14

Oakland Raiders at NY GiantsFan picks
28It will probably be David Carr starting for the Giants, but it doesn't matter. The Raiders are dreadful on offense. The Giants will run it and run it and run it some more when they have the ball. The Raiders won't keep up. There is a look-ahead factor with the Giants playing at the Saints next week, but I don't even think that will matter.
Result: NY Giants 44, Oakland Raiders 7

Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City ChiefsFan picks
26The Cowboys haven't looked good on offense and they are playing a second straight road game. That's tough. The Giants ran on the Chiefs last week, so that's a concern. But the Cowboys aren't as good as their reputation. They win, but it's closer than expected.
Result: Dallas Cowboys 26, Kansas City Chiefs 20

Pittsburgh Steelers at Detroit LionsFan picks
31This is a watch-out game for the Steelers. They are coming off a "supposed big game" against San Diego, and now face a Detroit team that is improving. Matt Stafford's status bears watching. But if he can't go, Daunte Culpepper is fine. I don't think the Steelers lose it, but how motivated will they be? Even so, with Roethlisberger playing big they win it by two touchdowns.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 28, Detroit Lions 20

Washington Redskins at Carolina PanthersFan picks
20The Panthers are coming off a bye and are winless, so you know they will be focused here. Both teams have struggled on offense, but I see the Panthers getting it going. Look for Steve Smith to come up big. Panthers win their first.
Result: Carolina Panthers 20, Washington Redskins 17

Cleveland Browns at Buffalo BillsFan picks
23This is the dog game of the day, featuring two offenses that have issues. So which team irons those issues out? I'll go with Buffalo. Trent Edwards will get the ball to Terrell Owens in this game, making him happy for a week. The Browns are really bad on offense.
Result: Buffalo Bills 3, Cleveland Browns 6

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore RavensFan picks
27This is a chance for the Bengals to show they are for real. With a victory here, they would be in first place in the division. It won't be easy against a good Ravens defense that is simmering after what happened in New England. I think both teams will move the ball and this will be higher scoring than expected.
Result: Baltimore Ravens 14, Cincinnati Bengals 17

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ersFan picks
27The 49ers have played great defense so far, but this is a potentially explosive offense in Atlanta. I see Matt Ryan coming off his bye and having success throwing against the 49ers. San Francisco will counter with the run against an Atlanta run defense that has struggled. I'll take Ryan to make more plays and get the upset.
Result: Atlanta Falcons 45, San Francisco 49ers 10

Jacksonville Jaguars at Seattle SeahawksFan picks
30This is a tough trip for the Jaguars. They are also a young team coming off a big victory. Motivation is key here. Will they get up again? They've struggled in this role. Seattle has lost three consecutive games, and may or may not play with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck (ribs). The Seahawks have to show up. And they will. This will be high scoring.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 41, Jacksonville Jaguars 0

New England Patriots at Denver BroncosFan picks
27Can the student beat the mentor? That's what we have in Josh McDaniels going against Bill Belichick? McDaniels' team is the surprise of the league so far, and the defense has been great. But this is where the unbeaten streak ends. The Patriots get a big game from Tom Brady. Mentor takes it.
Result: New England Patriots 17, Denver Broncos 20

Houston Texans at Arizona CardinalsFan picks
35Look for a lot of points here. The Texans played better on defense last week, but that was the Raiders. They still have issues, and look for Kurt Warner to exploit them. Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson will have some success as well. This could be fun.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 28, Houston Texans 21

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee TitansFan picks
33The Titans made David Garrard look like Peyton Manning last week. This week, they make Manning look like Manning. He has to be licking his chops against that secondary. The one concern here is this game is the Titans season. Lose, and they are done. But they're not good enough to stop the Colts.

NY Jets at Miami DolphinsFan picks
20The Jets are playing their second consecutive road game. That's tough in the NFL. It's even tougher when it comes on a Monday night. Mark Sanchez wasn't good last week, and this will be the same type of environment. Can he bounce back? Rex Ryan's defense will give Chad Henne trouble, but the Dolphins will find a way here. Can't wait to see Ryan and Channing Crowder in WWE 20.

Pete, listen, everything you've written since Sunday night that references the Colts/Pats game, has a new way of describing your opinion of Belichick's decision.  Coming up with a different way of expressing the same opinion isn't creative, it's redundant.  Trust me when I say everybody gets it.  You disagree with his decision.  See?  We know.  You can stop beating th ...(more)

if you look at the stats. Jax is 7th in the AFC in passing. Not great but not that bad....They are 16th overall and considering that half our games the whole teams production made every facet of the game suffer. Its a young team and has shown some good things....One is the imporvement in passing...Like I said, not great but improving. Thats huge for a young team, especially one right in the middle ...(more)

Even so, I think the Chiefs hang around with a less-than-focused Steelers team.-

The Steelers don't need anymore motivation than being one game out of first place. Then playing against the 27th ranked rushing defense. They are going to run it down their throats and when they try and adjust it goes up top to Holmes, Ward and Wallace.
If you think this game

The only good thing about this whole article was Prisco's use of the phrase "Bottom Bowl" for Browns vs. Lions.

Otherwise, no game has even a 10 point spread!! Prisco, are you telling me that you don't think one single NFL game this week will be a blowout?  Didn't you just write an article a couple weeks ago about the disparity between the good and bad teams of the NFL

After watching both teams and seeing them play in their first matchup I think this game goes to Pitt easily.  The Bengals are just flat out not as good as their recored and if Troy P. had not been hurt the Steelers are easily undefeated.  Pitt is peaking at the right time.

"The Titans have won three in a row with Vince Young, but they are playing back-to-back road games"

Wow, is he that retarded? We played the Bills at home last week.

Wow. Way to do your research, Prisco.

why Prisco in the expert picks, say the seahawks will win against the vikings in minnesota, and in his picks says the vikings will win? Is Prisco a retard or something? i just can´t understand that, only Prisco knows

Enough with the continual comments about that call. WE GET IT.

Man you are such a moron.

I also like how you keep saying it cost them the game as though them being stopped automatically gave Indy 7 points.

I now wish so much that they did punt so the Colts could have driven the distance, got the TD (we will never know if they would have but it is very likely

Wow, can't believe you pick the Packers over the Cowboys after Tampa went to Green Bay and beat them. Then you go on to say that since the Cowboys were focused last week against the Eagles they want win.  Wow, your about the worst sports writer I have ever seen.  Do you give any thought to what you write...you have two teams that are going in two different directions and yet you pick a t ...(more)

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but for the DAL/PHI game, Prisco picks DAL ATS, which appears to be -2.5 for PHI.  Yet, on his own picks page, he predicts a 27-24 Eagles victory.  Is that not contradictory?  lmao
