MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS
Thursday, Sep. 24, 2015

New York
Giants
27
The Redskins are riding high after beating the Rams Sunday, while the Giants blew two fourth-quarter leads in falling to 0-2. The Giants moved the ball on offense in both games, and they will do so here, even against the Redskins' No. 1-ranked defense. Giants take what is almost a must-win for them.
Result: NY Giants 32, Washington Redskins 21
Washington
Redskins

Cincinnati
Bengals
27
The Ravens are a shocking 0-2, but they will be playing their home opener here. This is almost a must-win for the Ravens in Week 3. The Bengals are 2-0 and playing as well as any team in the league. Andy Dalton should have success against a suspect Baltimore defense.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 28, Baltimore Ravens 24
Baltimore
Ravens
21

Carolina
Panthers
24
The Saints have concerns about Drew Brees and his injured shoulder, and they have not played well in two losses. Brees might not play. Carolina is 2-0 thanks to Cam Newton. He is carrying this team. That continues here. With or without Brees, the Panthers take it.
Result: Carolina Panthers 27, New Orleans Saints 22
New Orleans
Saints
14

Cleveland
Browns
26
This could be Johnny Manziel in as the starter again, depending on the health of Josh McCown. Manziel did some good things last week, and he will be fine here if he is forced to play. The Raiders will keep it close, but I like the Browns to win it.
Result: Cleveland Browns 20, Oakland Raiders 27
Oakland
Raiders
20

Dallas
Cowboys
28
It is Brandon Weeden time in Dallas with Tony Romo hurt. Weeden looked good in relief last week against Philadelphia, but now the Falcons can plan for him. Even so, I think Atlanta playing consecutive road games will be tough to overcome.
Result: Dallas Cowboys 28, Atlanta Falcons 39
Atlanta
Falcons
20

Houston
Texans
24
The Texans are 0-2, and haven't looked good. But Tampa Bay isn't as good as the two teams the Texans have faced so far. Plus, the Bucs are playing consecutive road games. They responded last week against the Saints after a bad loss to open the season, but the Texans will find a way with their defense to win this one.
Result: Houston Texans 19, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers
13

Minnesota
Vikings
23
The Chargers are playing consecutive road games outside the division, which is a big challenge. Minnesota seemed to come alive -- particularly Adrian Peterson -- last week, and that will carry over here. The Vikings defense will get after Philip Rivers in a big way.
Result: Minnesota Vikings 31, San Diego Chargers 14
San Diego
Chargers

New England
Patriots
38
This is a tough spot for the Jaguars, who got their first victory last Sunday against Miami. The Jaguars gave up a lot of passing yards last week, and Tom Brady is on fire. The Jaguars won't be able to keep up. Patriots big.
Result: New England Patriots 51, Jacksonville Jaguars 17
Jacksonville
Jaguars
21

New York
Jets
19
The Jets are 2-0 and have done it behind their defense. The Eagles are struggling big time on offense. Chip Kelly's system isn't working right now. The Jets defense is working in a big way. The Jets get to 3-0.
Result: NY Jets 17, Philadelphia Eagles 24
Philadelphia
Eagles
13

Pittsburgh
Steelers
30
The Steelers looked dominant against the 49ers, especially on offense. The Rams didn't play that well in losing to the Redskins. But they were good in Week 1 against Seattle. This Steelers offense isn't Seattle's. They will get their points here.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 12, St. Louis Rams 6
16

Indianapolis
Colts
28
The Colts are coming off two awful performances to open the season and now must travel on a short week off a Monday night. That won't be easy. But I think this is where they get back re-focused. Andrew Luck will get back to being the Luck we expect to see. Marcus Mariota won't keep up. Colts take it.
Result: Indianapolis Colts 35, Tennessee Titans 33
Tennessee
Titans

Arizona
Cardinals
27
The 49ers will be playing consecutive road games in this one. That is always tough, even on a short trip. The Cardinals are 2-0 and have played well on both sides of the ball. Carson Palmer will light up the 49ers like Ben Roethlisberger did this week.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 47, San Francisco 49ers 7
San Francisco
49ers
17

Miami
Dolphins
24
The Dolphins will be playing their home opener here after losing to the Jaguars last week. The Buffalo defense had problems with Tom Brady. Ryan Tannehill put up big numbers last week, and that will continue against the Bills.
Result: Miami Dolphins 14, Buffalo Bills 41
Buffalo
Bills
20

Seattle
Seahawks
37
I would not want to be Jimmy Clausen in this one. He will start for Jay Cutler, who is out with a hamstring injury. The Seahawks, who are 0-2, will be ready and waiting for him. The Seahawks can't go to 0-3. They are too good. They won't. Clausen will have big-time problems.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 26, Chicago Bears 0
Chicago
Bears
21

Denver
Broncos
28
The Broncos are playing consecutive road games, while the Lions are playing their home opener. Normally, I would take the home team in that spot. But I think the Denver pass rushers will get all over Matt Stafford here -- and he is hurting some if he can go. The Lions haven't run the ball well. That's the issue. Broncos take it.
Result: Denver Broncos 24, Detroit Lions 12
Detroit
Lions

Green Bay
Packers
33
The Chiefs lost a tough one to the Broncos last Thursday and now face a tough challenge of playing the Packers on the road. They will have added rest, while the Packers played Sunday night. Doesn't matter. Aaron Rodgers will get his points, while the Chiefs won't be able to keep up.
Result: Green Bay Packers 38, Kansas City Chiefs 28
Kansas City
Chiefs
