MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS
Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014

New Orleans
Saints
27
This game is for first place in the division. That's hard to believe. The Saints came alive last week against the Packers, but that was at home. They are a different team on the road. Even so, I see Mark Ingram's running setting up Drew Brees throwing it. Saints take it.
Result: New Orleans Saints 28, Carolina Panthers 10

Cincinnati
Bengals
27
Blake Bortles was horrible last week, and now must go on the road against a good Bengals team. Can he rebound? I say he will play better, but it won't be good enough.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 33, Jacksonville Jaguars 23
Jacksonville
Jaguars
21

Cleveland
Browns
24
The Bucs have been awful this season, but the last time they went to play a team from the AFC North on the road they upset the Steelers. Does it happen again? No, it won't. The Browns will win this one behind their running game since Tampa Bay has all kinds of defensive problems.
Result: Cleveland Browns 22, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers

Arizona
Cardinals
30
The Cowboys are coming off a bad loss Monday night against the Redskins. Plus, there are now questions about Tony Romo's back. That's not a good thing readying to play Todd Bowles and his blitzing defense. The Cardinals have the best record in the NFC. They will leave that way too. Cardinals take it.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 28, Dallas Cowboys 17
Dallas
Cowboys
28

Houston
Texans
24
The Eagles are playing consecutive road games outside the division, which is always tough. The Texans are getting better on defense and it will be interesting to watch J.J. Watt against that spread offense. I think the Texans rise up here.
Result: Houston Texans 21, Philadelphia Eagles 31
Philadelphia
Eagles

Kansas City
Chiefs
30
The Chiefs have the best pass rush in the league, which is not a good thing for the Jets and new starting quarterback Mike Vick, who doesn't run like he used to. The Chiefs are playing well and I think that carries over. Chiefs big.
Result: Kansas City Chiefs 24, NY Jets 10
New York
Jets

Miami
Dolphins
21
This is a long trip for the Chargers, but they are rested after playing last Thursday. The Dolphins are back home after winning consecutive road games. They are playing much better on defense, and that will be the difference as they slow down Philip Rivers.
Result: Miami Dolphins 37, San Diego Chargers 0
San Diego
Chargers
20

Minnesota
Vikings
20
The Redskins are playing consecutive road games, which is always a problem. They played well at Dallas and I expect Jim Haslett to blitz the heck out of Teddy Bridgewater. But I have a feeling there will be a letdown here, even if Robert Griffin III is back. Vikings find a way.
Result: Minnesota Vikings 29, Washington Redskins 26
Washington
Redskins

San Francisco
49ers
30
The Rams are really banged up now on offense, and that's never a good thing going out to face the 49ers. San Francisco is coming off a bye, so they are rested. This will be ugly, just like the first meeting between the two.
Result: San Francisco 49ers 10, St. Louis Rams 13
St. Louis
Rams

Denver
Broncos
31
The seemingly annual Tom Brady-Peyton Manning meeting should be an offensive treat again. Both quarterbacks come in hot as can be, but only one can walk off a winner. It will be Manning, who I think will win it with a late drive. Not having Chandler Jones hurts the Patriots. This will be a classic.
Result: Denver Broncos 21, New England Patriots 43
New England
Patriots

Seattle
Seahawks
30
This is a good spot for the Seahawks to get things really back on track after pulling out a tight one last week. The Raiders are playing a second consecutive road game, and this is a brutal place to play. Blowout. The defense starts to look like the defense of a year ago when it faces Derek Carr.
Result: Seattle Seahawks 30, Oakland Raiders 24
Oakland
Raiders
10

Pittsburgh
Steelers
28
The Steelers are coming off their offensive explosion last week behind Ben Roethlisberger. They seem to be getting it right. The Ravens are playing consecutive road games in the division, and they have not played great on the road. They blew out the Steelers earlier, but Pittsburgh gets even here.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 43, Baltimore Ravens 23
Baltimore
Ravens

New York
Giants
28
The Giants are coming off a bye and face a difficult stretch of games. The Colts are playing consecutive road games, and were awful last week in losing to the Steelers. Their defense had big-time issues against the Steelers, and might be without corner Vontae Davis here. Eli Manning comes up big.
Result: NY Giants 24, Indianapolis Colts 40
Indianapolis
