MATCHUP SCORE ANALYSIS

New York
Jets
23
The Bills didnít look good in the opener, and they will be without receiver Sammy Watkins. The Jets defensive front was outstanding against the Bengals, and that will be in play here. The Jets blew a game at Buffalo in the season finale with a playoff berth on the line last year. They wonít blow this one.
Result: NY Jets 37, Buffalo Bills 31
Buffalo

Carolina
Panthers
30
The 49ers have a cross-country trip after a Monday night game against a team that will be rested for 10 days. Whatís worse, itís the NFC Champs. That will make for a bad day for the 49ers. San Francisco looked good beating the Rams, but this is a step up in competition. Cam Newton gets the offense cranked up here.
Result: Carolina Panthers 46, San Francisco 49ers 27
San Francisco
49ers
17

Baltimore
Ravens
28
The Browns are bad. They will be without Robert Griffin III, which means Josh McCown starts against the Ravens. That might not be a bad thing. The Ravens did some good things on offense in the first half against Buffalo, and will continue that here. Joe Flacco has a big game.
Result: Baltimore Ravens 25, Cleveland Browns 20
Cleveland
Browns
13

Detroit
Lions
30
The Titans go to Detroit with their ground attack that didnít quite get going last week. They will try and push the Lions front around, but the problem is the Lions can score. Matthew Stafford will have another big day as the Lions go to 2-0.
Result: Detroit Lions 15, Tennessee Titans 16
Tennessee
Titans
20

Houston
Texans
27
This is a rematch of the AFC wild card game that was won in a big way by the Chiefs. The Texans have a new-look offense led by Brock Osweiler. Plus, they are faster. That matters. The Chiefs wonít win this one as the Texans go to 2-0.
Result: Houston Texans 19, Kansas City Chiefs 12
Kansas City
Chiefs
17

New England
Patriots
21
The Dolphins are playing consecutive road games and now must play the Patriots playing their home opener. Thatís tough. The Dolphins played the Seahawks well last week, but blew it in the fourth quarter. This will be another tough challenge, even without Tom Brady. Itís tight, but the Patriots will take it.
Result: New England Patriots 31, Miami Dolphins 24
Miami
Dolphins
20

New York
Giants
37
When they played last year, it was an offensive show. This will be the same. The Saints are bad on defense, so look for Eli Manning to roll up big numbers. Drew Brees will try and keep up, and will for a while, but the Giants will pull away in the end.
Result: NY Giants 16, New Orleans Saints 13
New Orleans
Saints
28

Cincinnati
Bengals
28
The last time these teams met, the Steelers won in the playoffs when the Bengals melted down in the final minutes. That Bengals team didnít have Andy Dalton. This one does. That matters. The Bengals win behind their passing game as Dalton wins a shootout with Ben Roethlisberger.
Result: Cincinnati Bengals 16, Pittsburgh Steelers 24
Pittsburgh
Steelers
27

Washington
Redskins
21
The Redskins looked bad in losing to the Steelers at home Monday night. They get their rivals with a chance to turn things around. This will be Dak Prescottís first road start at quarterback for the Cowboys. That matters. Redskins take it.
Result: Washington Redskins 23, Dallas Cowboys 27
Dallas
Cowboys
17

Arizona
Cardinals
33
The Bucs are playing a second straight road game, which is always tough. And they are doing it against a good team that lost the opener. Defending the Arizona passing game will be a real challenge for Tampa Bay. I donít think the Bucs will keep up.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 40, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7
Tampa Bay
Buccaneers
20

Seattle
Seahawks
17
Will Russell Wilson play against the violent Rams defense that for some reason didnít show up Monday night against the 49ers? The Rams beat Wilson up when they play him, so mobility will be a key if he does play. The Rams looked terrible Monday night. Can they be that bad in the home opener?
Result: Seattle Seahawks 3, Los Angeles Rams 9
Los Angeles
Rams
13

Denver
Broncos
26
The Broncos looked dominant on defense in their opener against Carolina, but again get a stiff test against Andrew Luck and the Colts. Luck was sensational last week against the Lions. But that changes here. The Broncos will slow him down and Denver takes it.
Result: Denver Broncos 34, Indianapolis Colts 20
Indianapolis
Colts
17

Oakland
Raiders
31
This is a tough turnaround for the Falcons after losing at home to the Bucs. They get the Raiders playing their home opener. The Raiders got the offense cranked up in the second half last week against the Saints. That continues here against a bad Atlanta defense.
Result: Oakland Raiders 28, Atlanta Falcons 35
Atlanta
Falcons
21

Los Angeles
Chargers
21
This is a long road trip for a young Jaguars team coming off a tough loss to the Packers. Plus, the Chargers are playing their home opener after a tough loss. Thatís a bad combination. But not having Keenan Allen will show up here. Jaguars keep it close.
Result: San Diego Chargers 38, Jacksonville Jaguars 14
Jacksonville
Jaguars
20

Green Bay
Packers
23
Who starts at quarterback foe the Vikings? Coach Mike Zimmer wonít say. I bet it will be Sam Bradford. The Vikings were really good on defense against the Titans, but Aaron Rodgers is a different story. The Packers will find a way late to win it.
Result: Green Bay Packers 14, Minnesota Vikings 17
Minnesota
Vikings

Chicago
Bears
21
This will be the first road start for rookie Carson Wentz for the Eagles. Thatís always a challenge. The Bears are better than the Browns, who he carved up last week. Chicago played well for a half against the Texans on the road. They will do it for an entire game here.
Result: Chicago Bears 14, Philadelphia Eagles 29
Philadelphia
Eagles
17
