09/25/16TAustin HowardANKLEOUTHoward is active for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Howard practiced in full this week and his ankle injury looks to be behind him. With Menelik Watson (groin) out, the Raiders will likely turn to Howard to start at right tackle along what is a very thin Raiders offensive line.

07/29/16RBMarcel ReeceSuspensionSUSPENDReece has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs, CSN Bay Area reports.

Reece, who will sit out Sunday's season finale against the Chiefs, is thus eligible to return to action after the Raiders' third game of the 2016 season. In the meantime, he can participate in all of the team's offseason and preseason practices and games.

07/29/16LBAldon SmithSuspensionSUSPENDSmith (suspension) has entered a treatment center, ESPN reports.

Smith's reason for seeking treatment is unclear, but it comes just days after a Periscope video titled "Fire up session" surfaced of an unidentified man, suspected to be him, talking about a hand-rolled cigarette shown on screen. In wake of that video, which appeared under an account previously used by Smith, the NFL has launched an investigation into whether he violated protocols required of a suspended player seeking reinstatement from a substance abuse violation. While that investigation continues, Smith's move to now enter a treatment facility hardly seems coincidental, and more details regarding his situation should surface soon.

09/25/16CBMarcus CromartieANKLEQUESTIONABLECromartie (ankle) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Cromartie's ankle injury kept him out of the 49ers' Week 2 loss to the Panthers, and he was limited in practice throughout the week leading up to this Sunday's matchup. Eric Reid will be the starter at free safety regardless, but Cromartie will look to get back to game action.

09/20/16DLIan WilliamsUndisclosedOUTWilliams was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

This move was made to make room on the roster for offensive lineman Anthony Davis who was reinstated by the league from retirement Saturday. It remains to be seen when Williams will play again.

07/29/16LBAaron LynchSuspensionSUSPENDLynch has been suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Lynch slid to the fifth round of the 2014 Draft amid character concerns, but developed into of the league's best young outside linebackers by totaling 12.5 sacks over his first two seasons. Nonetheless, Lynch has now incurred his first NFL off-field slip-up, and will miss the first quarter of the regular season as a consequence. With Lynch suspended until San Francisco's Week 5 game against the Cardinals, Eli Harold and Corey Lemonier are candidates to start opposite Ahmad Brooks in the meantime.
