Third-year Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne had a forgettable afternoon in St. Louis Sunday. It was so bad, in fact, that he has been benched for Orlando Scandrick.
Today is Marvin Lewis' birthday. We know this because the Bengals were kind enough to commemorate the occasion with quite possibly the most fantastic photo we've ever seen.
Russell Wilson has outshined some of the elite quarterbacks in games when given the chance. It's time to stop overlooking the Seahawks' signal-caller and consider him among the top 10 at his position.
Not only will Redskins DL Chris Baker avoid suspension for what initially looked like a cheap shot on Eagles QB Nick Foles, his hit was perfectly legal, the NFL said Tuesday.
Coach Killers is your weekly look around the league at those performances, decisions and 'Wait, what did he just do?!' moments that put the guy in charge squarely on the ol' hot seat.

08/31/14KMatt PraterSuspensionSUSPENDBroncos kicker Matt Prater, the league's second-leading scorer last year, has been notified he'll be suspended for the first four regular-season games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Prater has been in the league's alcohol program since he was charged with DUI in 2011. His attorney, Harvey Steinberg, told the Denver Post that Prater got suspended for drinking a few beers at home. "[Matt] feels terribly for his teammates," Steinberg said. "It's cost him personally, both professionally and financially."

Prater nailed 25 of 26 field-goal attempts last year, including a record-breaking 64-yarder against Tennessee. Rookie Mitch Ewald is his backup.
