07/11/16RBKenyan DrakeHamstringPROBABLEJoining Drake (hamstring) and Jay Ajayi in the Miami backfield is veteran Arian Foster, who signed with the team Monday, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Drake, who the report describes as "a talented pass-catcher but unproven downhill runner," now faces added competition for touches in the Miami offense, with his fantasy upside taking a hit due to the fact that a (presumably) healthy Foster is a candidate to earn a good chunk of both carries and catches in the Dolphins' 2016 backfield.

07/11/16LBChris McCainKneePROBABLEMcCain (knee) season ended Tuesday as he was placed on IR, reports the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

McCain and Koa Misi were both placed on IR after the game Sunday. McCain's 2015 campaign ends with two whole tackles and a sack. Safe to say he won't be missed.

04/27/16DLDion JordanSuspensionSUSPENDJordan is still waiting to hear word from the NFL about his application for reinstatement, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.

Jordan was suspended for the entire 2015 NFL season for violating the substance abuse policy. His suspension could be lifted at anytime and with training camp starting on July 29 the Dolphins are hoping it's lifted sooner rather than later. Jordan is said to be in the best shape of his short career and if he can get his head on straight, would be a quality addition to what could be a stacked defensive line in Miami.

04/27/16DLCameron WakeAchilles PROBABLEWake (Achilles) was a participant in team drills Wednesday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.

Wake had only participated in individual drills in front of the media prior to Wednesday. It was thought that Wake may not practice with the team until training camp but apparently the Achilles has healed enough that the doctors have cleared him. Those fantasy owners in IDP leagues that reward sacks heavily should not forget about Wake come draft time.

07/11/16WRSteve JohnsonGroinPROBABLEAfter missing the final four games of the regular season, Johnson finished 2015 with 45 catches for 497 yards and three touchdowns in ten games.

Johnson missed a total of six games because a hamstring injury caused him to miss Weeks 5 and 6 in addition to missing the last four games of the year due to a groin injury. When he was healthy, he was a productive slot receiver who would typically make four or five catches per game on a good passing team. Johnson should be back for more of the same in 2016.

07/11/16DBJason VerrettHamstringPROBABLEVerrett (hamstring) has begun working out with fellow Chargers teammates, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.

Verrett, who missed the Chargers final game of the regular season due to a hamstring injury, was spotted working out with a few members of the secondary at a training facility in California. San Diego's leader in interceptions last year, Verrett is expected to take over more of a leadership role on defense with veteran captain Eric Weddle widely expected to sign with another team during the offseason.

07/11/16RBDanny WoodheadAnklePROBABLEWoodhead (ankle) is expected to be healthy for training camp, Tom Krasovic of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Woodhead sprained his ankle during the second-to-last day of minicamp, but was able to walk off under his own power. Considering Melvin Gordon may need some time to get his feet underneath him following offseason microfracture knee surgery, the 32-year-old running back is expected to be one of the main weapons for the Chargers, particularly in third down and no-huddle situations.

    (Updated 06/30/2016)
05/17/16RBMelvin GordonKneePROBABLEGordon (knee) participated in team drills during minicamp, but isn't expected back at full strength until training camp, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Recovering from January knee surgery, Gordon was observed taking handoffs and catching passes during San Diego's first day of minicamp. This increased level of activity suggests the running back's recovery is progressing well, and barring any setbacks, he should indeed be ready to go for training camp.

04/27/16DBBrandon FlowersKneePROBABLEFlowers (knee) is healthy after ending the season on IR, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Flowers failed to record a single interception last season, the first time he hasn't recorded at least one takeaway in his six-year career. Couple that with the fact that he registered just 33 tackles (29 solo), and it's fair to say Flowers is coming off his worst season as a pro. However, following an offseason in which the 30-year-old corner reportedly trimmed 10-12 pounds off his frame and appears completely healthy following a nagging knee injury that caused him to miss the final four games of the regular season, Flowers looks to be on the upswing heading into the new year. Even with Casey Hayward joining the secondary via free agency, Flowers is still expected to start opposite Jason Verrett and could be a good candidate to rebound should he stay healthy.

04/27/16DLCorey LiugetFootPROBABLELiuget is feeling "much better" after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in December, Micahel Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Liuget had tallied 34 tackles (28 solo) and three sacks before his Week 13 injury against the Broncos. The 26-year-old, who signed a five-year extension prior to last year's training camp, reportedly weighed between 313-315 pounds throughout the 2015 season, but is expecting to cut his weight down to 295 by the season opener. With the Chargers selecting Joey Bosa with the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Liuget and Bosa could form an impressive duo on the defensive line capable of wreaking havoc on opposing offenses should both players stay healthy.
