With receiver/returner Dwayne Harris (hamstring) likely to miss Sunday's game at Washington, the Cowboys signed return man Micheal Spurlock, who played nine games in Detroit this year. Spurlock has averaged 9.0 yards per punt return and 24.5 yards per kick return in his career, with five return touchdowns.
Harris was averaging 30.5 yards on kick returns, sixth in the NFL, and 14.0 yards per punt return.
Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee said he's unsure if he will return for the final two games after suffering a sprained neck ligament Week 14. Lee missed his first game in Week 15 since suffering the injury.
With Sean Lee sidelined by a hamstring injury, Cowboys linebacker Ernie Sims delivered a strong performance Week 12 at the Giants. He recorded 10 tackles, including eight solo. Only defensive back Barry Church, who recorded 13, had more.
