    Wright opened the season as a starter, but his Week 1 injury gave Chris Conte a chance to shine. Hobbled by injuries for much of the year, Wright finished with just 25 tackles and three passes defensed in nine appearances. He is under contract for 2016, whereas Conte's deal expires at the end of the season. The Bucs might also opt to look outside of the organization for a starting safety to pair with Bradley McDougald.

    04/27/16DLCameron JordanBackPROBABLEJordan (back), who underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on his lower back in February, is not currently participating in OTAs but expects to be back by training camp, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune. "We're playing it safe," Jordan said on Wednesday. "I can't give out a timetable for me coming back, but I do know that it will be well within camp season."

    Jordan played through the back injury most of last season, occasionally missing practice time but never a game. Despite the lingering malady, he still managed to accrue 10 sacks and earn his second Pro Bowl appearance. While Jordan has a tendency to disappear -- he recorded only a single tackle four separate times in 2015 -- his consistent double-digit sack totals nevertheless make him a valuable IDP commodity.

    Lewis was placed on season-ending injured reserve recently due to hip and knee complications, and had surgery on his hip labrum Monday to correct that ailment. The veteran will now aim to get healthy ahead of next season, while the Saints' porous defense tries to at least finish this season respectfully.
