10/02/16SIbraheim CampbellHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLECampbell (hamstring) has been listed as out for the Browns' Week 3 game against Miami, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Campbell sat out practice this week due to his hamstring injury, making it unsurprising that he's been ruled out for Sunday. Derek Kindred will figure to see increased team and possibly start in Campbell's absence.

10/02/16WRCorey ColemanHANDOUTColeman will not require surgery on his fractured hand and is slated to miss 4-to-6 weeks.

It was confirmed Wednesday that Coleman suffered a fractured hand during practice, but the real question at the time was the duration of his absence. After seeing a hand specialist, the team determined that surgery during the season is off the table, and the rookie wideout is now on track to miss roughly a month. Already down two quarterbacks, Coleman's absence will cost the Browns their leading pass catcher through the season's first two weeks, setting up Terrelle Pryor and Andrew Hawkins for extra targets.

10/02/16GCameron ErvingCHEST, LUNGOUTErving (chest) will not play Sunday against the Redskins according to coach Hue Jackson, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Fellow center John Greco is likely to get the start as the Browns continue to play it safe with Erving.

10/02/16CBJoe HadenGROINQUESTIONABLEHaden (groin) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Haden was limited in Friday's practice, but defensive coordinator Ray Horton expects to have him available in some capacity Sunday. That would serve as a boost to Cleveland's secondary, especially since fellow starting cornerback Tramon Williams (shoulder) is listed as doubtful to face a pass-happy Redskins offense.

10/02/16QBJosh McCownLEFT SHOULDEROUTMcCown is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks because of a strain and hairline crack in his non-throwing shoulder, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

McCown suffered the injury in Week 2 against the Ravens, and while he was apparently pushing to play Sunday against the Dolphins, he will now miss multiple weeks because of the issue. With Robert Griffin (shoulder) also out, Cody Kessler will be under center for the Browns.

10/02/16DECarl NassibHANDOUTNassib (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Redskins, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Nassib is a week out of surgery on his broken hand, and not yet ready to return to game action at this point. Xavier Cooper and Tyrone Holmes will step up at left defensive end, while Nassib's next chance to return will be Week 5 against the Patriots.

10/02/16LBNate OrchardANKLEOUTOrchard (groin) is active Sunday against the Bengals.

Orchard was limited in practice all week, but will suit up and presumably take on a meaningful snap count from the outside linebacker spot in the Week 13 contest.

10/02/16CBTramon WilliamsSHOULDERDOUBTFULWilliams (shoulder) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Redskins, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Williams hasn't practiced all week with a sprained shoulder and will most likely miss Sunday's matchup with Washington. Joe Haden (groin) is expected to play in some capacity, but Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Marcus Burley will have to step up in Williams' absence in order to stop the Redskins' pass-first offense.

09/30/16WRSeth DevalveKneeOUTDeValve (knee) will not suit up against the Redskins on Sunday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

DeValve injured his knee during practice and could miss an extended period of time, according to head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson also said that the Browns may look to add another tight end to back up Gary Barnidge and Randall Telfer during DeValve's absence.

07/31/16DBTrey CaldwellHamstringQUESTIONABLECaldwell suffered a hamstring injury during the onset of training camp, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

It's currently unclear whether the hamstring was merely tweaked or if Caldwell has suffered something worse. Either way, there has been no timeline provided for his return. When healthy, the Browns' fifth-round pick will compete for a role out of the slot.

07/29/16LBArmonty BryantSuspensionSUSPENDBryant (suspension) pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug charges on Wednesday and could have his four-game suspension prolonged, Scott Petra of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Bryant was indicted in February on felony drug charges and originally pleaded not guilty, but changed his stance on Wednesday, pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges. As a result, the outside linebacker will receive 68 days probation which will expire on Oct. 3, the same day he is schedule to return from his original four-game suspension. However, now that Bryant has changed his plea, his case will yet again be reviewed under the league's policies, which could potentially lead to a lengthier suspension. Bryant recorded 5.5 sacks in 14 games in 2015.

07/29/16WRJosh GordonSuspensionSUSPENDGordon will likely be released by the Browns, NFL.com reports.

As hinted by head coach Hue Jackson, the team no longer has any plans for Gordon, who will enter an in-patient rehab facility instead of returning from his suspension in Week 5. It's unclear how long Gordon will stay in the facility and when/if he plans to play again this season, but he should eventually draw interest around the league, unless he failed a drug test -- in which case he'd likely be suspended yet again.

07/28/16DLDesmond BryantChestOUTBryant (chest) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will sit out the entire season, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Entering his eighth NFL season and fourth with the Browns, Bryant was a lock to start at defensive end after a 2015 campaign which saw him record a career-high and team-leading six sacks. The torn pectoral muscle he suffered earlier this month was originally thought to keep him out 4-to-6 months, making November the soonest possible return date. Rather than push his recovery in the hopes of a return the team decided it best to shut him down for the season. Carl Nassib appears first in line to replace Bryant, but John Hughes and Dylan Wynn could see some extra snaps as well.

10/02/16TEGarrett CelekBACKQUESTIONABLECelek (back) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, CSN Bay Area reports.

Celek seemingly had a good opportunity to lead the 49ers' tight ends after Vance McDonald (hip) was forced to exit in Week 3, but his own back ailment has kept him limited this week. As a result, both players are listed as questionable in advance of Sunday's contest, leaving the sparingly-used Blake Bell as San Francisco's only healthy option at the position.

10/02/16TEVance McDonaldHIPQUESTIONABLEMcDonald (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, CSN Bay Area reports.

McDonald was limited in practice this week after picking up a hip injury in Week 3. As it stands, it's unclear if McDonald, who leads the 49ers with two receiving touchdowns, will be able to play Sunday. With teammate Garrett Celek (back) questionable as well, Blake Bell embodies San Francisco's only fully-healthy tight end heading into this weekend.

10/02/16SJimmie WardQUADRICEPSOUTWard (quadriceps) has ruled week-to-week on Tuesday.

Ward suffered a quad strain in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and will leave the 49ers' secondary extra thin if he is held out for a couple weeks. Keith Reaser is expected to start in his absence as he filled in at cornerback on Sunday. Look for more updates on Ward's status to come later in the week.

09/20/16DLIan WilliamsUndisclosedOUTWilliams was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

This move was made to make room on the roster for offensive lineman Anthony Davis who was reinstated by the league from retirement Saturday. It remains to be seen when Williams will play again.

07/29/16LBAaron LynchSuspensionSUSPENDLynch has been suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Lynch slid to the fifth round of the 2014 Draft amid character concerns, but developed into of the league's best young outside linebackers by totaling 12.5 sacks over his first two seasons. Nonetheless, Lynch has now incurred his first NFL off-field slip-up, and will miss the first quarter of the regular season as a consequence. With Lynch suspended until San Francisco's Week 5 game against the Cardinals, Eli Harold and Corey Lemonier are candidates to start opposite Ahmad Brooks in the meantime.
