Redskins coach Jay Gruden told reporters Monday quarterback Robert Griffin III suffered a dislocated, and not broken, left ankle Sunday against the Jaguars. Gruden said he doesn't have a timeline for Griffin's return, but he will not be placed on season-ending injured reserve because the team feels he could return this season.
Redskins running back Roy Helu finished second on the team in rushing during a 17-6 loss Week 1 at Houston. Helu totaled 46 rushing yards on four carries, which trailed Alfred Morris' team-high 91 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Redskins coach Jay Gruden said tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) "has to practice at least a day" in order to play Week 3 against the Eagles. Reed sat out Sunday's game against the Jaguars after getting hurt Week 1.
Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks hobbled off the field in the third quarter of Monday's game at Indy with a calf injury. At the time, Kendricks was tied for the team lead with seven tackles. He had one tackle for loss and a pass defensed.
