09/26/16LBDannell EllerbeQuadricepsOUTEllerbe (quadricps) will not make his season debut in Monday's matchup with the Falcons, Josh Katzenstein of The Times-Picayune reports.

The veteran linebacker has yet to take the field this season as he recovers from a quadriceps injury. He projects to start at weakside linebacker when healthy, but Craig Robertson has been filling in at the position during his absence.

08/24/16WRVincent BrownCalfQUESTIONABLEThe Saints released Brown (calf) with an injury settlement Thursday, removing him from injured reserve, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Brown joined the Saints in May, adding a veteran presence to a receiving corps lacking in experience. However, he failed his pre-training camp physical due to a strained calf, which will bring his brief tenure in New Orleans to a close. The severity of the injury will likely determine when he receives a chance with another organization.

08/20/16DBTravell DixonChestQUESTIONABLEDixon left Saturday's preseason matchup with an apparent chest injury and is questionable to return, Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer reports.

In his NFL debut last week, Dixon tallied three tackles against Baltimore. The Washington product has taken reps at both cornerback and safety for Carolina in the early going, but with a lot of uncertainty surrounding Dixon and his injury, it remains to be seen if he'll be able to squeak onto the roster by preseason's end.

08/06/16DLLarry WebsterHamstringQUESTIONABLEWebster remains out of practice with a lingering hamstring injury, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Webster pulled his hamstring nearly two weeks ago, so it's a bit concerning that he's still dealing with some lingering pain. He remains without a concrete timetable for a return and appears doubtful for the team's preseason matchup with the Titans on Saturday. Webster is a projected depth option at defensive end for the upcoming season and will need to get back to full strength if he wants to avoid falling any lower on the depth chart.

07/28/16DBLeonard JohnsonAchillesOUTJohnson (Achilles) was placed on the Panthers' reserve/NFI list on Monday, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

Johnson also began training camp on the active/NFI list after undergoing offseason surgery to repair an Achilles injury suffered last season with the Patriots. Although no timetable was provided for his return, Johnson could theoretically resume playing after the first six weeks of the regular season.
