05/21/13DBLeon HallThumb The Bengals official team website reports cornerback Leon Hall will return to OTAs eventually after suffering a ligament tear in his thumb. The injury occured lifting weights. He's expected to be fine for training camp.
05/07/13WRMohamed SanuFoot Mohamed Sanu said he feels back to normal as he took the field for Bengals OTAs this week. The injured foot that ended his rookie season early appears to be in the rear-view mirror. Bengals receivers coach James Urban is confident Sanu will contribute. "There's things you have to do when there is 22 bodies on the field that you can't replicate," Urban said. "The cutting and the natural reaction stuff where you are putting your foot in the ground, doing all those things. He's fine."
02/13/13RBBernard ScottKnee The Bengals have re-signed running back Bernard Scott, the official team website reported. Scott is working his way back from a torn ACL suffered last year.

05/23/13WRPierre GarconToe, shoulder NFL.com reports that Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon said Thursday that his injured toe and shoulder would not keep him out of a game right now. "If there was a game tomorrow, I would be able to play," Garcon said. "We are just taking precautions to make sure it heals properly." As for the torn ligament in his right foot that plagued him most of the 2012 season, Garcon said it's improving. He also said he's going to get some help from his apparel company. "It's coming along, I'm getting special shoes made by Russell (Athletic) so they're helping me out with that," Garcon said. "And (I) continue to go along with the process of rehabbing, but it's an everyday ongoing process. I have to learn a lot about my foot and how I run and things like that with all these injuries, but it's getting better."
05/06/13TEJordan ReedKnee The Washington Examiner reports that Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed did not participate in the rookie minicamp because he said he’s still recovering from a bone bruise in his knee. Coach Mike Shanahan said Reed also had a pulled quad, which resulted in soreness in his knee. They’re hopeful he’ll be able to work in a “couple weeks” Shanahan said.
04/27/13RBChris ThompsonKnee The Washington Examiner reports that Redskins rookie running back Chris Thompson should be ready for training camp after tearing his left ACL at Florida State this past season. Doctors said it would take eight months, and he had the injury six months ago.
04/09/13DBReed DoughtyToe ESPN reports Redskins safety Reed Doughty is recovering from offseason right toe surgery. He should be ready for the start of training camp.
03/21/13DLRob JacksonSuspension Redskins linebacker Rob Jackson has been suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The league said Wednesday night that Jackson will miss the first four games of the regular season.
03/13/13RBRoy HeluToe The Washington Post reports that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan is glad running back Roy Helu is back at practice, and he hopes Helu can make an impact this season. Helu, who has been out with an ailing toe, will compete for playing time with Evan Royster, Keiland Williams and rookies Chris Thompson and Jawan Jamison behind starter Alfred Morris. “Helu brings a lot to the table,” Shanahan said. “I’m glad he’s feeling good. He has practiced the last couple of days. He has looked good in practice. … It’s fun to have him out there. Hopefully he keeps on getting better and better, but anytime you have a guy that weighs [215] pounds, he’s under that 4.5-[second], 40 [yard dash range], has receiving skills and the opportunity to make a big play, it’s good to have him back and a chance to compete.”
03/13/13LBBrian OrakpoPectoral Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo told Comcast Sportsnet he's ready to "wreak havoc" this season after tearing a torn left pectoral muscle last September. “I'm 100 percent, my body is feeling even better than what it was before as far as conditioning and strength-wise,” Orakpo said. “When you get hurt, you get to work on all the little muscles that you have a tendency to (overlook). It was a freak accident, it's nothing you can control.”
03/06/13LBLondon FletcherAnkle, Elbow CBS Washington is reporting linebacker London Fletcher will undergo surgery to fix his left ankle and his elbow, signaling his intent to return in 2013. These operations will be Fletcher's first and second career procedures. “Surgery is the first step towards prepping for next season," he said.
02/27/13WRJosh MorganAnkle, hands Redskins receiver not only underwent a procedure on his right ankle but also both of his hands, the Washington Post reports. He had a plate and seven screws removed from the ankle in January and had torn ligaments in his hands repaired the same week. He had the plate and screws put in his ankle back in 2011. "Basically, the whole year, I was playing with two torn ligaments in both hands," he said. "So they corrected that and got all that stuff straight."
01/31/13TEFred DavisAchilles The Washington Post reports that Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Thursday that tight end Fred Davis might be able to practice next week, but he doesn't want him to. Shanahan said he wants to use caution with Davis in his comeback from last year's Achilles injury.
01/25/13DBDeAngelo HallFinger Cornerback DeAngelo Hall has been released by the Redskins, a casualty of the team's NFL-imposed salary cap penalty on the eve of the start of free agency. He was due to make $7.5 million in salary in 2013.
01/09/13QBRobert Griffin IIIKnee Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III said he plans to begin cutting on his surgically repaired right knee next week. Griffin spent part of practice Tuesday racing teammates and another part throwing while rolling out of the pocket. All of this is being done in hopes of being ready for the start of training camp in late July. "I feel comfortable sprinting now," Griffin told the Washington Post. "The next big stage is just cutting. And it’s not that I go cut for two days and I’m ready to go. It’s just a month of just doing cutting drills, change of direction. That way I can train my body to get back for that. ... The shocking thing is every week that does pass by that I don’t talk to you guys, I am feeling better. ... When it comes to training camp, it’s just a matter of how my body feels when I get back on July 25 before we go down to Richmond. We’ll go from there. But I've said it a bunch of times: I’m pretty confident I’ll be ready."
12/24/12DBTanard JacksonSuspension Redskins defensive back Tanard Jackson was suspended indefinitely Friday for violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to the Washington Post. Jackson’s suspension begins immediately and he is eligible for reinstatement on Aug. 31, 2013. The NFL will revisit his case in a year and Jackson is trying to appeal the ruling.
