Head coach Bruce Arians considers Peterson day-to-day following the ankle injury suffered in Sunday night's win against the Bengals, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Peterson was in tip-top shape for the majority of the contest, containing A.J. Green to two catches for 24 yards, one pass break-up, and a defensive holding penalty on the six passes on which they were matched up, according to Pro Football Focus. However, Peterson injured his ankle in the waning minutes, which contributed to a breakdown of the Cardinals' pass defense. While the team awaits the result of an MRI, his status will remain in question.
Head coach Bruce Arians is hopeful that Floyd (hamstring) plays Sunday at San Francisco, but the wide receiver will have to "open up and go" in order to do so, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Floyd continues to feel the effects of a hamstring injury from Week 10, which held him out of all practices in advance of Sunday's game against the Bengals. After a pregame warmup, he was listed on the Cardinals' inactive list, and the team trusted in rookie J.J. Nelson (four catches for 142 yards and one touchdown) to handle Floyd's role in the offense. In the aftermath of the game, Arians told Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site that Floyd "could have played in the red zone, but he couldn't open it up and run." If Floyd is unable to show progress in the form of participation at upcoming practices, he could suffer a similar fate in Week 12.
The early signs on Freeman (head) are positive, as his concussion symptoms were not particularly severe, Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports.
Concussion are always serious, but it does appear Freeman avoided the worst of it. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said his star running back is off to a good start in the NFL's concussion protocol, which likely means Freeman has already been cleared to participate in team meetings. Fleet-footed rookie Tevin Coleman struggled in Sunday's loss to the Colts, managing just 48 yards on 17 carries, without any receptions. The Falcons have a tough Week 12 matchup with the Vikings in a game that's key for the NFC wild-card picture.
