02/26/13LBDesmond BishopHamstring NFL Network reports the Packers are interested in trading linebacker Desmond Bishop. Bishop is coming back from a torn hamstring suffered last preseason but is expected to be ready for the start of the season. (Updated 04/29/2013)
01/24/13RBCedric BensonFoot ESPN reports the Packers and running back Cedric Benson will meet on Wednesday to talk about a new deal. Benson suffered a Lisfranc foot injury last October but has been rehabbing it; the Packers let Benson go back into free agency in March. (Updated 04/24/2013)
01/24/13RBAlex GreenKnee The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that Packers running back Alex Green still has designs on starting this season even though Green Bay added rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin. "Last year, I didn't do anything too good in the running game," Green said, "so I think it was a great thing for us to get back out there, make a step in the draft and help the team win football games." The report says maybe Green is at peace because he's finally healthy after a torn ACL suffered seven games into his rookie season in 2011. Last offseason, Green hurried back from the injury - prematurely, he admits now - to compete for carries in training camp. He did earn an on-again, off-again role as the team's No. 1 back. But by December the knee was sore and swollen and Green finished the 2012 season on the sideline. At no point, Green said, was he 100 percent last season. "No, I wasn't, I wasn't," Green said. "I came back, I got close to it, but once I got close, then I had a couple setbacks. I was never really quite where I wanted to be, but I made great strides in the off-season. I'm definitely getting ready for this year." (Updated 05/15/2013)

04/15/13WRHakeem NicksKnee There's optimism for Hakeem Nicks to be ready for the start of the season but the New York Daily News reports the receiver hasn't run routes that require cutting yet and might not for a while. Nicks is coming back from knee and foot injuries and did participate in the team's recent offseason workouts. "Just from past experience, I am being cautious," Nicks said. "I'm not taking it slow, but I'm taking it easy." (Updated 04/25/2013)
03/21/13RBDavid WilsonHand Giants running backs coach Jerald Ingram told the Newark Star-Ledger that David Wilson will get the opportunity to compete for playing time this season with Andre Brown. Ingram added Wilson has improved in his pass protection skills, something that limited his playing time last year. "He's got to learn to become more of a protector, which he has been working on," Ingram said. "We've tested him within the system, he did well a week ago, knowing what we’re doing and how to protect. Now he’s physically learned how to protect his quarterback, and he’s looking forward to the challenge, which so far I’m pretty excited about where he is right now." (Updated 04/25/2013)
02/07/13DLShaun RogersLeg The Giants re-signed defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, who missed the 2012 season with a blood clot in his leg. (Updated 02/07/2013)
02/06/13RBAndre BrownLeg ESPN reports that Giants running back Andre Brown signed his tender offer with the team. He will make $2.02 million this season. Brown is expected to work in tandem with second-year running back David Wilson. He recently said his goals this year are 22 touchdowns and 1,300 rushing yards. (Updated 04/23/2013)
02/02/13RBAhmad BradshawFoot ESPN reports free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw was cleared for all football activities by Dr. Robert Anderson. That means his injured foot has healed and he's ready for a team to acquire his services. He's been linked to the Steelers and Bengals lately. (Updated 04/26/2013)
01/15/13DBTerrell ThomasKnee Terrell Thomas signed a one-year contract to stay with the Giants. The defensive back tore an ACL for the third time in his playing career last summer; he hasn't played in an NFL game since 2010. Speculation is that the team will move him to safety. "My knee feels great," Thomas said per the official team website. "It was a little struggle at first. It was a little inconsistent with the swelling. But for the last month-and-a half I haven't dealt with any swelling at all. It's progressed the last two weeks since I started running. The doctors are really happy with the way I'm progressing. They had to increase my workload because it wasn't enough." (Updated 02/11/2013)
