Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins (torn ACL) and cornerback Leon Hall (torn Achilles') have encountered no setbacks in their rehabs and "it sounds like both are on track to work at some point in camp," reports the team's website. But it's early and "that's why fingers are crossed" that neither star begins the season on the PUP list, the report said.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told ESPN his rehab from back surgery is "going good" and he's on track to be ready for next month's OTAs. "Really ahead in a lot of ways," he said. "Just going to be ready to go here in about a month and rehab is going good, no setbacks of any kind."
Free agent defensive end Anthony Spencer, who's coming off microfracture surgery, won't be 100 percent ready for training camp, reports ESPN.com. The Cowboys have reached out to Spencer to re-sign him but it's unclear if they'll be able to afford him.
