09/09/16RBTyler GaffneyFootQUESTIONABLEGaffney (foot) reached an injury settlement with the Patriots on Friday, Mike Petraglia of WEEI.com reports.

The transaction removes Gaffney from the Patriots' injured reserve. If he can regain his health, it isn't out of the realm of possibility for the running back to resurface with another organization before season's end.

09/03/16DLRob NinkovichSuspensionSUSPENDThe Patriots have signed Ninkovich (suspension) to a one-year contract extension, NFL.com reports.

Though he's suspended for the first four weeks of the regular season and concurrently nursing a triceps injury, the Patriots' brass still clearly considers Ninkovich a key piece of their defense for the foreseeable future. Previously set to hit the free agent market after at season's end, Ninkovich is now set to remain in New England through 2017.

08/31/16TEBryce WilliamsUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEWilliams has missed several days of practice with an undisclosed injury.

Clearly behind Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett on the Patriots' tight end depth chart, Williams is competing for depth slotting at the position along with Clay Harbor, A.J. Derby, Steven Scheu and Bear Pascoe.

07/29/16QBTom BradySuspensionSUSPENDWhile playing the entire first half of Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants, Brady (suspension) completed 16 of 26 passes for 166 yards, with a TD and a pick.

With Brady having seemingly finished up the game in good health, the veteran QB's first regular-season action is set for Week 5 against the Browns, after he serves his four-game suspension at the beginning of the upcoming campaign. In the meantime, Jimmy Garoppolo is slated to start the Patriots' first four games of the upcoming campaign.

06/09/16TEMichael WilliamsKneeOUTWilliams tore his left ACL during Wednesday's practice and he'll likely be placed on Injured Reserve, Jim McBride of the Boston Globe reports.

As expected, Williams' injury was a serious one as he was seen on crutches Thursday awaiting the unfortunate results. This ensures Clay Harbor's spot as the No. 3 option at tight end behind Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett heading into the 2016 season, as Williams enters a long road to recovery.

07/29/16DBJalen CollinsSuspensionSUSPENDCollins tallied 17 total tackles in 16 games during his rookie year with the Falcons.

Collins was limited to rotational work, only seeing the field on 28.6 percent of the total defensive snaps. He'll likely earn more playing time in the coming years, but the Falcons have a pretty young core of secondary players, meaning it won't be easy for Collins to ascend the ranks.
