Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo told ESPN his rehab from back surgery is "going good" and he's on track to be ready for next month's OTAs. "Really ahead in a lot of ways," he said. "Just going to be ready to go here in about a month and rehab is going good, no setbacks of any kind."
Free agent defensive end Anthony Spencer, who's coming off microfracture surgery, won't be 100 percent ready for training camp, reports ESPN.com. The Cowboys have reached out to Spencer to re-sign him but it's unclear if they'll be able to afford him.
With the Eagles releasing Jason Avant, look for receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to line up inside more often, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Avant played 807 snaps last season and ran 78 percent of his pass routes from the slot.
