10/11/15WRDez BryantFOOTOUTCowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant (foot) has been able to do some light running on a treadmill but has yet to run on the practice field, ESPN Dallas reports.

"[He's been] Getting in condition without putting too much stress and strain on his foot, so he has not been out running routes or anything like that up to this point," coach Jason Garrett said. "There are different ways to run where you can kind of get yourself in as good a shape as possible leading up to it, so he's been involved in that."

The Cowboys still haven't ruled out a return for Bryant in Week 7 following their bye, but that timetable seems extremely optimistic if he isn't able to put full weight on his surgically repaired foot yet. More likely, the wide receiver will be able to rejoin the lineup some time in November.

10/11/15WRBrice ButlerHAMSTRINGOUTCowboys wide receiver Brice Butler (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Butler served as the No. 4 wide receiver in a Week 4 loss to the Saints, catching one pass for 67 yards on his first target of the season. He had a chance to make it a touchdown, but he pulled up lame with the injury and was unable to reach the end zone. In Butler's absence, Rodney Whitehead will provide depth behind Terrance Williams, Devin Street and Cole Beasley.

10/11/15TEJames HannaANKLEQUESTIONABLECowboys tight end James Hanna had a scope performed on his knee Saturday, DallasCowboys.com reports.
10/11/15LBSean LeeCONCUSSIONPROBABLECowboys linebacker Sean Lee (concussion) has been designated as probable for the Sunday battle against New England.

Despite exiting with a concussion in the first half of the Week 4 loss to the Saints, Lee is on pace for 144 tackles. Facing a fast-paced, high-powered New England offense, Lee is one of the better Individual Defensive Player options this week. He's also one of the better options for the entire season, with his ability to stay healthy the only real concern.

10/11/15SJairus ByrdKNEEPROBABLESaints safety Jairus Byrd (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Byrd will likely hop right in as a starter alongside Kenny Vaccaro, but the Saints may monitor the three-time Pro Bowler's snaps. Although his track record from Buffalo is superb, Byrd has played just 15 games since the start of 2013 and four games since the beginning of 2014. He needs to re-prove that he's a useful IDP outside of very deep leagues.

10/11/15WRMarques ColstonNOT INJURY RELATEDPROBABLESaints wide receiver Marques Colston caught four passes on five targets for 19 yards in Sunday night's win against the Cowboys. Colston was not much of a factor in Week 4, with Drew Brees seemingly limited to short throws due to his injured shoulder.

Further, he once again lost playing time to second-year pro Willie Snead, who led the Saints with six catches for 89 yards, as Colston was on the field for only 41 of the Saints' 73 offensive plays (56 percent), according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Brees still looks to Colston when he wants to move the sticks on third down, but with Colston essentially becoming a part-time player in New Orleans, his upside is limited. The Saints will face the Eagles in Week 5.

10/11/15WRBrandin CooksANKLEPROBABLESaints wide receiver Brandin Cooks (ankle) has been deemed probable for the Sunday game in Philadelphia.

Just as he did last week, Cooks logged full practices Thursday and Friday, following limited participation Wednesday. He's been one of the bigger disappointments this season, but a Week 5 matchup with the Eagles could still lead to a nice day.

10/11/15CBKeenan LewisHIPPROBABLESaints cornerback Keenan Lewis (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Coming off a minor hip procedure at the beginning of September, Lewis is returning toward the front end of his timetable. He'll likely get the start, but it's not entirely clear whether he'll replace Brandon Browner or Delvin Breaux.

10/11/15DEBobby RichardsonHIPQUESTIONABLESaints DT Bobby Richardson made six tackles (two solo) in Sunday's win against the Cowboys.

Richardson, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Indiana, made his first career start in Week 4, after Akiem Hicks was traded mid-week to the Patriots.

While Richardson rotated playing time with another rookie, Tyler Davison, he was on the field for 38 of the Saints' 61 defensive snaps (62 percent), according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He made two tackles for a loss.

If Richardson can continue to hold down the starting gig, he could make an impact in deeper individual defensive player leagues.
