09/25/16GRamon FosterELBOWQUESTIONABLEAs expected, the Steelers have ruled out cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm) and linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee) for their Sunday game in Jacksonville.
09/25/16CBSenquez GolsonFOOTOUTGolson (foot) is ruled out for Sunday's contest with the Eagles.

Golson has not yet fully recovered from the Lisfranc surgery that he underwent in early August, but the 23-year-old is making tremendous progress. According to various reports, Golson is ahead of schedule and could be nearing a return to action in the coming weeks.

09/25/16RBRoosevelt NixBACKDOUBTFULNix (back) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest.

Nix is unlikely to suit up for Sunday's date with Philadelphia which means that he could be in line to miss a third consecutive game. On the bright side, it does appear that he will be able to play within the coming weeks regardless of his status for Sunday.

09/25/16CCody WallaceKNEEOUTWallace (knee) is ruled out for Week 3.

Wallace's unspecified knee injury will keep him sidelined for the third straight week. Luckily for the Steelers, Pittsburgh has one of the deepest offensive lines in the league.

08/19/16RBLe'Veon BellSuspensionSUSPENDBell is among the Steelers' key players not slated to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Panthers.

The same applies to DeAngelo Williams, who is set to fill in for Bell while he serves a three-game suspension to start the season. On Thursday, the team's depth backs will have an opportunity to make their cases for complementary roles heading into the regular season. Bell's next game action is slated to arrive on Oct. 2, when the Steelers face the Chargers at home in Week 4.

07/29/16WRMartavis BryantSuspensionSUSPENDBryant was never under consideration of being cut by the Steelers despite his recently imposed year-long suspension, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Bryant's multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy triggered a minimum one-year suspension from the league, but the Steelers never considered releasing him, according to general manager Kevin Colbert. Instead, Pittsburgh will hope Bryant makes the necessary changes to his life to get reinstated next year, when he would have two years remaining on his contract with the team. With Bryant suspended, Steelers receivers Markus Wheaton and, more specifically, Sammie Coates, will be looked upon to take advantage of their increased opportunities this season.

09/25/16SIbraheim CampbellHAMSTRINGOUTCampbell (hamstring) has been listed as out for the Browns' Week 3 game against Miami, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Campbell sat out practice this week due to his hamstring injury, making it unsurprising that he's been ruled out for Sunday. Derek Kindred will figure to see increased team and possibly start in Campbell's absence.

09/25/16WRCorey ColemanHANDOUTColeman will not require surgery on his fractured hand and is slated to miss 4-to-6 weeks.

It was confirmed Wednesday that Coleman suffered a fractured hand during practice, but the real question at the time was the duration of his absence. After seeing a hand specialist, the team determined that surgery during the season is off the table, and the rookie wideout is now on track to miss roughly a month. Already down two quarterbacks, Coleman's absence will cost the Browns their leading pass catcher through the season's first two weeks, setting up Terrelle Pryor and Andrew Hawkins for extra targets.

09/25/16GCameron ErvingCHEST, LUNGOUTErving (chest) has been released from the hospital and is considered week-to-week.

Erving suffered a pulmonary contusion during Sunday's game against Baltimore, and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. Since bruised lungs can cause fluid build-up and suffocate breathing, the Browns will likely take the safe route with Erving in terms of his return to action. Starting guard John Greco took over for Erving at the end of Sunday's game, but it remains to be seen what the long term changes will be along the Browns' offensive line with Erving out.

    (Updated 09/19/2016)
09/25/16CBJoe HadenGROINQUESTIONABLEHaden (groin) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against Miami.

Haden was a late addition to the Cleveland injury report after suffering a groin injury Thursday that forced him to sit out of Friday's practice. After testing out the injury during warmups, it was determined that Cleveland's top cover corner wouldn't be able to suit up for the Week 3 matchup. Tramon Williams is expected to draw the start in his stead.

09/25/16QBJosh McCownSHOULDEROUTMcCown is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks because of a strain and hairline crack in his non-throwing shoulder, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

McCown suffered the injury in Week 2 against the Ravens, and while he was apparently pushing to play Sunday against the Dolphins, he will now miss multiple weeks because of the issue. With Robert Griffin (shoulder) also out, Cody Kessler will be under center for the Browns.

    (Updated 09/25/2016)
09/25/16DECarl NassibHANDOUTNassib (hand) is ruled out for Sunday's game at Miami, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Nassib underwent surgery Wednesday to repair his broken hand and will not be ready in time for Sunday. The Browns are hoping that Nassib can play with some sort of cast within a couple of weeks. In the meantime, Xavier Cooper and Tyrone Holmes are set to see increased action.

    (Updated 09/23/2016)
07/31/16DBTrey CaldwellHamstringQUESTIONABLECaldwell suffered a hamstring injury during the onset of training camp, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

It's currently unclear whether the hamstring was merely tweaked or if Caldwell has suffered something worse. Either way, there has been no timeline provided for his return. When healthy, the Browns' fifth-round pick will compete for a role out of the slot.

07/29/16LBArmonty BryantSuspensionSUSPENDBryant (suspension) pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug charges on Wednesday and could have his four-game suspension prolonged, Scott Petra of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Bryant was indicted in February on felony drug charges and originally pleaded not guilty, but changed his stance on Wednesday, pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges. As a result, the outside linebacker will receive 68 days probation which will expire on Oct. 3, the same day he is schedule to return from his original four-game suspension. However, now that Bryant has changed his plea, his case will yet again be reviewed under the league's policies, which could potentially lead to a lengthier suspension. Bryant recorded 5.5 sacks in 14 games in 2015.

    (Updated 07/27/2016)
07/29/16WRJosh GordonSuspensionSUSPENDGordon (suspension) nabbed three of his six targets for 29 yards during Thursday's preseason game versus the Bears.

Gordon, who looked liked his former self throughout the preseason, will have to wait until Week 5 against New England before he's allowed back on the field. He worked with the second team Thursday in order to get some final reps in before his suspension kicks in on Saturday. If he can keep up his rapport with Robert Griffin when he gets back, he'll be a welcome addition to a receiving corp that's already flush with talent.

07/28/16DLDesmond BryantChestOUTBryant (chest) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will sit out the entire season, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Entering his eighth NFL season and fourth with the Browns, Bryant was a lock to start at defensive end after a 2015 campaign which saw him record a career-high and team-leading six sacks. The torn pectoral muscle he suffered earlier this month was originally thought to keep him out 4-to-6 months, making November the soonest possible return date. Rather than push his recovery in the hopes of a return the team decided it best to shut him down for the season. Carl Nassib appears first in line to replace Bryant, but John Hughes and Dylan Wynn could see some extra snaps as well.
