10/24/16DLCameron HeywardHamstringOUTHeyward is expected to miss 2-to-3 weeks due to the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday, NFL.com's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports.

Heyward's injury is not considered serious, but the results of Monday's MRI unfortunately suggested it could keep him sidelined until Pittsburgh's Week 8 bye. That would mean missing Week 7's top-heavy tussle against the Patriots. A Steelers team captain, Heyward boasts 17 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery so far this season.

10/24/16QBBen RoethlisbergerKneeOUTRoethlisberger (knee) did some individual work at Tuesday's practice, saying afterward that he hopes to rejoin his teammates at some point next week, ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler reports.

Roethlisberger had surgery last Monday to repair a torn meniscus, with his estimated timetable of two-to-three weeks subsequently referred to as a "best case" scenario by Steelers president Art Rooney II, who said the real expectation is anywhere in the range of two-to-six weeks. Roethlisberger threw some passes to tight ends at Tuesday's practice, but it doesn't mean much that he's able to make throws while standing still. Real information regarding his potential Week 9 availability probably won't be available until next week. The Steelers are currently on bye ahead of a matchup with the rival Ravens.

10/24/16DBShamarko ThomasGroinQUESTIONABLEThomas (groin) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

Thomas suffered a groin injury in Week 5 and hasn't participated in practice since.

10/24/16WRMarkus WheatonShoulderQUESTIONABLEWheaton (shoulder) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Wheaton didn't practice after missing last Sunday's game due to a shoulder injury, which will cost him his fourth contest of the year this weekend versus New England. His continued absence figures to benefit Eli Rogers and Sammie Coates, although the latter wideout's fractured thumb could impact his involvement to some degree.

10/24/16RBDeAngelo WilliamsKneeQUESTIONABLEWilliams (knee) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Williams' knee injury prevented him from practicing at all this week, so Le'Veon Bell should be prepared for an even heavier workload Sunday versus New England. In Williams' absence, Fitzgerald Toussaint embodies the Steelers' lone healthy running back behind Bell, who was already expected to see his usage increased in wake of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's (knee) injury.

07/29/16WRMartavis BryantSuspensionSUSPENDBryant was never under consideration of being cut by the Steelers despite his recently imposed year-long suspension, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Bryant's multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy triggered a minimum one-year suspension from the league, but the Steelers never considered releasing him, according to general manager Kevin Colbert. Instead, Pittsburgh will hope Bryant makes the necessary changes to his life to get reinstated next year, when he would have two years remaining on his contract with the team. With Bryant suspended, Steelers receivers Markus Wheaton and, more specifically, Sammie Coates, will be looked upon to take advantage of their increased opportunities this season.

10/24/16LBElvis DumervilFootQUESTIONABLEDumervil (foot) has been ruled out of Sunday's matchup with the Jets.

This counts as the fifth game Dumervil will miss this season. With Terrell Suggs considered doubtful to play, Za'Darius Smith and Albert McClellan project as the Ravens' starting outside linebackers.

10/24/16LBC.J. MosleyThighQUESTIONABLEMosley (thigh) will not play Sunday against the Jets.

Mosley will now miss his second straight game and remains without a timeline to return. Consequently, Kamalei Correa projects to get the start this weekend.

10/24/16WRSteve SmithAnkleQUESTIONABLESmith (ankle) may be available when the Ravens return from a Week 8 bye, ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports.

Smith missed the past two games, leaving Mike Wallace as the No. 1 receiver, with Breshad Perriman and Kamar Aiken also taking on expanded roles. Wallace took full advantage to the tune of 217 receiving yards over the past two weeks, but a struggling Joe Flacco clearly still would've benefited from Smith's presence in the short passing game. The Ravens will face the Steelers in Week 9, coming out of a badly-needed bye week.

10/24/16LBTerrell SuggsBicepsQUESTIONABLESuggs (biceps) was spotted wearing a brace on his left arm Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Suggs is still nursing a bicep tear he suffered in Week 6 against the Giants, but now heads into the Ravens' bye week, giving him extra time to heal before Nov. 6's tilt with the Steelers. Look for practice updates to come later this week, as Za'Darius Smith is expected to see an expanded role in the veteran's absence.

    (Updated 10/25/2016)
10/24/16DBShareece WrightBackQUESTIONABLEWright (back) is listed as inactive for Sunday's matchup with the Jets.

Wright missed practice all week and didn't have much hope of playing on Sunday. Jerraud Powers will look to get the spot start with Wright out.

09/07/16DBCarrington ByndomUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEByndom (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Ravens on Wednesday, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

It's unclear why Byndom landed on injured reserve in the first place, but he's now eligible to sign elsewhere.

07/29/16TENick BoyleSuspensionSUSPENDBoyle has been suspended for the first 10 games of the 2016 campaign due to a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Boyle was utilized sparsely as a rookie in 2015, hauling in 18 balls for 153 yards over the course of 11 games. However, he received his first suspension related to PEDs on Dec. 7 and subsequently missed the final four contests of the season. With Boyle out of the picture for most of next season, the Ravens rely upon Crockett Gillmore (back) and Maxx Williams to man tight end.
