09/25/16CBDarqueze DennardHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLEDennard (hamstring) has been listed as questionable for Week 3, Bengals.com editor Geoff Hobson reports.

Dennard was limited on Wednesday but participated in full on Thursday and Friday, which makes him likely to play on Sunday despite being listed as questionable.

09/25/16TETyler EifertANKLEDOUBTFULEifert (ankle) took part in Thursday's practice, Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

It won't be clear how much work Eifert got in until after practice, but it's a good sign that he is back on the field one day after practicing for the first time since injuring his ankle in January.

09/25/16GEric WinstonBACKQUESTIONABLEOffensive tackle Eric Winston tweeted that he's returning to the Bengals. The 31-year-old started two games last year and projects as the backup to starters Andrew Whitworth and Andre Smith, per Pro Football Talk.
07/29/16LBVontaze BurfictSuspensionSUSPENDIn a media luncheon on Tuesday, head coach Marvin Lewis confirmed, "I am not going to play Vontaze Burfict in the preseason," Paul Dehner Jr. of Cincinnati.com reports.

Burfict is suspended for the first three games of the regular season but is still eligible to play in the preseason by league rules. However, Lewis would rather play it safe and keep his star linebacker on the sidelines, keeping him safe from injuries and any on-the-field issue that could extend his suspension. Lewis said, "There's no reason for us to risk him getting hurt. It's hard because he's so competitive we have to continue to hold him back. One day he gets it the next day he wants to fight me on it. That's it. There's no reason to expose him to injury because he's too valuable." With Burfict out of the rotation, more reps will be allocated to young Bengals' linebackers.

09/25/16SJahleel AddaeCLAVICLEOUTAddae will be sidelined for an "extended period of time" after suffering a broken clavicle in the Chargers' Week 2 matchup against the Jaguars, ESPN reports.

It's unclear how long "an extended period of time" constitutes, but it's good new in itself that Addae wasn't immediately shelved on injured reserve. His absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the Chargers' secondary, one that will presumably be filled by either rookie Dexter McCoil or second-year safety Adrian Phillips.

09/25/16DEJoey BosaHAMSTRINGOUTBosa (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Indianapolis.

Bosa's hamstring made him a limited participant throughout practice this week. Assuming there are no setbacks, Bosa could be available for Week 5 action.

09/25/16GOrlando FranklinHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLEOrlando Franklin (ankle) has been ruled out for the Chargers' game against the Steelers on Monday.

With D.J. Fluker (ankle) also questionable for Monday's game, it's unclear who will get the start at either guard position against the Steelers, further clouting Melvin Gordon's fantasy value this week.

09/25/16TEAntonio GatesHAMSTRINGDOUBTFULGates (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Colts.

With Gates likely to be inactive Sunday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune believes that Hunter Henry is the top candidate "to pick up the load in the passing game along with his usual run-block dealings," with Sean McGrath also on hand and Asante Cleveland potentially a practice-squad promotion.

09/09/16WRRasheed BaileyAnkleQUESTIONABLEBailey (ankle) reached an injury settlement with the Chargers on Friday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Bailey signed with the Chargers in early-August, but didn't see a minute of preseason action. The agreement removes him from the team's injured reserve list, leaving him free to sign with another team.

08/26/16DLDamion SquareSuspensionSUSPENDSquare has been suspended four games by the NFL, the team's official site reports.

Square's suspension stems from a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. Early reports indicate that Square did not test positive for a specific substance, but the 27-year-old missed a scheduled test. Both Ryan Carrethers and Tenny Palepoi are likely to fill in during his absence.
