Texans wide receiver Cecil Shorts suffered a dislocated left shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Falcons, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
Shorts was injured at the end of the game, after Nate Washington (hamstring) had already left. Shorts' injury initially appears to be the more serious of the two, and he had a sling on his arm after Sunday's game, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. With a game against the Colts coming up Thursday, the Texans may need the likes of Keith Mumphery and Jaelen Strong to step up as complementary options alongside target-monster DeAndre Hopkins.
Colts tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against Jacksonville.
Allen was able to practice in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday, but he's being held out of Sunday's game. Coby Fleener should get the bulk of targets at tight end as a result. Although, he'll have Matt Hasselbeck throwing him the ball instead of Andrew Luck, who is out with a shoulder injury.
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. As a result, Matt Hasselbeck will get the start in his place Sunday, with Luck presumably targeting a return to action this coming Thursday against the Texans. (Updated 10/04/2015)
