Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin underwent hip surgery Monday, and there's no real timetable yet on his return, reports the Seattle Times. Irvin, however, tweeted that he should be back for training camp.
It's unlikely that Giants linebacker Jon Beason will be ready to play Week 1 at Detroit, reports ESPN.com. Beason suffered a ligament tear and a small fracture to the sesamoid in his right foot 10 days ago, but the injury won't require surgery.
