04/27/16DBAntone ExumRibsPROBABLEExum (ribs) has been placed on injured reserve, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

The Vikings have dealt with a ridiculous string of injuries at the safety position over the past few weeks, allowing Exum to make a couple of starts. The team is now left with Harrison Smith (knee/hamstring), Robert Blanton (knee), Andrew Sendejo (knee) and newly-signed Anthony Harris.

04/08/16DLLinval JosephToe Joseph (foot) will have toe surgery during the offseason, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports

This shouldn't come as any surprise, given that Joseph dealt with a foot injury throughout the entire second half of the season. He missed Weeks 12-16, but with 56 tackles in just 12 games, Joseph cemented his reputation as one of the league's better run-stopping interior linemen. He only has 12.5 sacks in 81 career games.

05/25/16TETyler EifertAnkle Eifert, who will undergo ankle surgery Wednesday, could potentially miss the first couple games of the upcoming NFL season, ESPN.com reports.

Such a scenario remains speculative at this stage, given initial estimates relayed by the Cincinnati Enquirer that "a three-month recovery is anticipated, which puts Eifert's return to the field sometime in August." On the plus side, Eifert's upcoming surgery has been referred to as a "minimal procedure," so it's a little too early to count out the tight end for the Bengals' regular season opener on Sept. 11 against the Jets.

04/27/16LBVontaze BurfictSuspensionSUSPENDBurfict's three-game suspension was upheld by appeals officer Derrick Brooks, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports.

As expected, Burfict will miss the first three games of the 2016 season due to repeated on-field incidents, culminating with his cheap shot on Antonio Brown in a playoff loss to the Steelers. He's an excellent player, but his value to the Bengals has been dampened by a combination of injuries and careless penalties. He has 14 unnecessary roughness flags and 401 tackles in 47 games through four seasons.

04/08/16DBDarqueze DennardShoulder Dennard expects to be available for 2016 training camp after undergoing shoulder surgery sometime in the next couple of weeks, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.

Dennard hasn't made much of an impact during his two years in the league but appeared to be turning a corner shortly before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury last week. While he's expected to make a full recovery, it seems likely that he'll be in store for another ancillary role on the Bengals' defense next season.

The list includes linebacker Jayson DiManche (shoulder), defensive end Carlos Dunlap (illness), cornerback Terence Newman (back), defensive tackle Domata Peko (toe), guard Mike Pollak (knee), defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee) and offensive tackle Andre Smith (knee).
