Eddie Lacy is set to start the year as the Packers primary running back following the season-ending knee injury for incumbent starter DuJuan Harris. Of the rushers behind Lacy, only James Starks has been consistently good in practice.
The Dolphins could have some interest in tight end Jermichael Finley if he is cleared to play football following neck fusion surgery last year, the Miami Herald reports. Finley missed all but five games after a serious neck injury.
Bears free safety Chris Conte underwent shoulder surgery last month and will be sidelined four to five months, the team announced. Conte played in every game last season, recording 89 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble.
New Cowboys defensive tackle Henry Melton, who's recovering from a September ACL tear, believes he'll be ready for training camp. “Anybody that checks me out and looks at my knee, they’re all saying training camp is a good day,” Melton told the team's website.
