07/22/16DLJ.J. WattBackQUESTIONABLEWatt (back) will need at least eight weeks before he is able to return to the field following back surgery Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Watt's surgery indeed did turn out to be the result of a herniated disk suffered in 2015-16. Initial reports stated that Watt would take six-to-eight weeks to recover enough to be able to suit up for the Texans, but now there are reports that recovery would take eight weeks minimum. That would put Watt's return date at Sept. 15, four days too late for Houston's season opener against the Bears. Other reports are claiming that rehabilitation could take up to 10 weeks. In any case, the super-star defensive end is in serious danger of missing his first ever NFL game.

07/11/16DBLonnie BallentineKneePROBABLEBallentine (knee) expects to be ready for training camp, The Houston Chronicle reports.

Mr. Irrelevant of the 2014 NFL Draft, Ballentine suffered tears to both his MCL and PCL after dislocating his left knee in October of 2015. He will be over 10 months removed from the injury when training camp opens, though, and will be competing for a role on special teams and as a depth linebacker.

07/11/16DBCharles JamesFootPROBABLEJames (foot) will be ready for the start of training camp, the Texans' official site reports.

James reportedly played through a stress fracture in his foot for over a month before suffering a complete fracture and landing on injured reserve in December. Subsequently, he missed the near-entirety of Houston's offseason program, but hasn't reported any setbacks and will be ready for the start of training camp.

05/17/16RBArian FosterAchillesQUESTIONABLEThe Dolphins and Foster (Achilles) agreed to a contract Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After getting a baseline on Foster's recovery from a torn Achilles in late March, the Dolphins' medical staff must have been impressed enough with his recovery on his second go-around Monday to give the front office the thumb's up. Considering his age (30 next month) and the fact he's nine months removed from the devastating injury, he'll more than likely ease into training camp. However, his competition includes two unproven products -- second-year back Jay Ajayi and rookie Kenyan Drake (hamstring) -- which provides a path to relevance for Foster. On the other hand, the final stages of Foster's rehab will ultimately dictate when he'll be able to make an impact.

04/27/16WRAndrew TurzilliSuspensionSUSPENDTurzilli has been suspended for the first four games of the upcoming season for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances.

Turzilli remains eligible to participate in all of the Titans' offseason and preseason activities, but will be sidelined for the first quarter of the coming campaign. As a depth wide receiver, Turzilli's suspension surely doesn't help his chances of making Tennessee's roster this term.
