Hali (knee) will not play in Saturday's preseason matchup with the Bears, Terez Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Hali was just removed from the Chiefs' PUP list on Monday, so he only has a few practices under his belt. Coach Andy Reid indicated earlier in the week that he wasn't going to push Hali back into action prematurely, so it appears the team will take a cautious approach with their 32-year-old linebacker. He's been ruled out of Saturday's game and isn't a guarantee to play in the Chiefs' preseason finale on Sept. 1 versus the Packers.
Charles (knee) won't play in Saturday's preseason game against Chicago, the Kansas City Star reports.
This nugget is not particularly surprising, given that Charles only recently came off the Chiefs' PUP list, but on the plus side, the veteran running back -- who tore his right ACL in Week 5 of last season -- has continued to increase his level of practice participation of late.
Square has been suspended four games by the NFL, the team's official site reports.
Square's suspension stems from a violation of the league's substance abuse policy. Early reports indicate that Square did not test positive for a specific substance, but the 27-year-old missed a scheduled test. Both Ryan Carrethers and Tenny Palepoi are likely to fill in during his absence.
