10/02/16RBJamaal CharlesKNEEQUESTIONABLEThough Charles (knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Steelers, per BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the running back is nonetheless expected to make his season debut this weekend.

After approaching the Chiefs' first three games listed as doubtful, it appears as though Charles is poised to see his first game action since suffering a torn ACL last October. Assuming he ends up in uniform Sunday night, we'd still expect to see a solid dose of fellow RB Spencer Ware, though with Charcandrick West ruled out this week, snaps will be up for grabs, which Charles and Knile Davis (to a lesser degree) are candidates to absorb.

10/02/16CBPhillip GainesKNEEQUESTIONABLEGaines (knee) did not participate in practice on Thursday.

Gaines, who played through the knee injury last Sunday, continues to miss practice time, leaving him questionable for Week 4. If he can't make a go of it this week, look for Steven Nelson and Kenneth Acker to see increased reps.

10/02/16LBTamba HaliKNEE, HANDQUESTIONABLEHali (hand) did not practice on Wednesday.

Hali was limited all last week with a knee injury, but ultimately played in Sunday's game against the Jets. It looks as if Hali is now also dealing with a hand injury, and he should be considered questionable as his status is updated in the next couple of days.

10/02/16TJah ReidKNEE, ANKLEOUTChiefs offensive lineman Jah Reid will be replaced as the starting right tackle by Eric Fisher, NFL.com reports.
10/02/16RBCharcandrick WestANKLEOUTWest (ankle sprain) won't play Sunday night against the Steelers, BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com reports.

Though West is out this week, the Chiefs' backfield is poised to be bolstered by the anticipated return to action of Jamaal Charles. Assuming Charles and Spencer Ware -- who has been leading the team's rushing attack out of the gate this season -- can hold up, West's role once he regains his health figures to be limited.

10/02/16CBDarius ButlerHAMSTRINGOUTButler is "week-to-week" with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Pagano typically uses the "week to week" term for player expected to miss a week or more, so it's unlikely that Butler will play in Indy's next game.

10/02/16WRPhillip DorsettANKLEQUESTIONABLEDorsett caught three of four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 26-22 win over the Chargers.

Without Donte Moncrief (shoulder) in the lineup, Dorsett failed to take advantage of his opportunity, doing very little outside of an 18-yard reception. Meanwhile, T.Y. Hilton had a big game, catching eight passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. Moncrief is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks, so Dorsett still has plenty of time to be productive. He'll face the Jaguars in Jacksonville next week.

10/02/16CJonotthan HarrisonILLNESSOUTThe Colts are trying offensive linemen at different positions in the team's offseason workouts.
10/02/16WRDonte MoncriefSHOULDEROUTA fractured scapula will force Moncrief out of action four-to-six weeks.

Coach Chuck Pagano noted Wednesday that Moncrief will treat the injury with rest, rather than surgery. With the wideout thus slated to miss time, Phillip Dorsett's fantasy value gets a bump, as he and T.Y. Hilton are now in line to head a wideout corps that also includes Chester Rogers, Quan Bray and Devin Street as depth options.

10/02/16TJoe ReitzBACKQUESTIONABLEReitz has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game with a back injury, Tom James of the Tribune-Star reports.

Given the nature of back injuries, Reitz will likely require close medical attention before he is cleared to return to action.

09/09/16DLRon ThompsonUndisclosedQUESTIONABLEThompson (undisclosed) was released from the Colts' injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement with the team, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

The specifics of his injury remain veiled. Nonetheless, Thompson is now free to sign with another organization.

09/08/16DBTevin MitchelHamstringQUESTIONABLEMitchel (hamstring) has been released by the Colts after reaching an injury settlement with the team, George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin reports.

Mitchel missed all of last season due to injury, and entered this season on the IR. He injured his hamstring in the team's final preseason game. The 24-year-old has yet to play in a regular season game.

09/07/16DBDezmen SouthwardUndisclosedQUESTIONABLESouthward (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Colts on Wednesday, Jayson Braddock of SportsTalk 790 reports.

Southward had knee surgery in late May and landed on the team's injured reserve list last week. He's now eligible to sign a deal with another team.

08/21/16TEMichael MillerUndisclosedOUTMiller was placed on the active/no-football list with an undisclosed injury on Tuesday.

The severity of the injury is still unknown, but Miller, a rookie undrafted free-agent, will now miss the beginning of his first training camp. Fellow tight end Darion Griswold was placed on the PUP list, leaving the Colts with five healthy tight ends to open up training camp.

07/29/16DLArthur JonesSuspensionSUSPENDJones will be suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL policy on PEDs, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

Jones missed the entire 2015 season due to torn ligaments in his ankle and did not participate in spring practices. He may have been sidelined to start the season even without the suspension, but this still hurts Indy's depth on the defensive line.
