Saints safety Jairus Byrd is expected to be ready for the start of training camp this week, a source tells ESPN. Byrd is rehabbing from offseason back surgery and could be limited at first. There's even a chance the Saints take a cautious approach with him and give him plenty of time to recover before the start of the season.
Saints deep threat Joe Morgan has been very limited in OTAs as he continues his recovery from last year's ACL tear. He's wearing a sleeve on his left knee and running routes on the side of practice, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Seahawks outside linebacker Bruce Irvin tweeted that his surgically repaired hip "feels 100 times better," but he did not clarify if he'll be ready for training camp, reports the Seattle Times. Irvin has 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in his first two seasons.
