The Texans got contributions from several role players in Monday's 30-23 loss at Pittsburgh. Backup running back Alfred Blue ran five times for 14 yards and took a dumpoff pass 11 yards for his first career touchdown.
Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was held out of Wednesday's practice, the team announced. Clowney returned Week 8 after missing six weeks with a knee injury and made one tackle in the win at Tennessee.
Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus registered his first two sacks of the season in Monday's loss at Pittsburgh. On one of the sacks, Mercilus stripped quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for his third career forced fumble.
Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell, who's missed two straight games with a sprained MCL, is active for the game against the Eagles. Campbell has 16 tackles, a sack and an interception in four games.
Cardinals running back Andre Ellington averaged under 4 yards per carry Sunday for the fifth straight game, but he scored his third touchdown this season on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Ellington rushed 23 times for 71 yards (3.1 ypc) and caught three of his six targets for 14 yards.
All the Cardinals who were probable on the injury report are active for the game against the Eagles. The list includes wideout John Brown (ankle), safety Rashad Johnson (knee) and defensive end Frostee Rucker (calf).
Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson told the team's website he was briefly knocked out Sunday when he collided with Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin and his own teammate, safety Deone Bucannon. But Peterson cleared concussion protocol Tuesday and practiced Wednesday.
Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington has been suspended for the entire 2014 season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He was suspended four games last season for violating the same policy.
