08/15/16LBStephone AnthonyLegQUESTIONABLEAnthony (leg) returned to practice on Monday, NOLA.com reports.

Anthony was carted off the field with an unspecified leg injury during the Saints' preseason opener against New England. However, New Orleans evidently dodged a bullet as he logged a full practice Monday and appeared to be moving without limitations throughout team drills. Now proven healthy, he'll resume his entrance into the regular season as Rotowire's 26th-ranked IDP prospect.

08/15/16DLSheldon RankinsLegOUTRankins, who was carted off during Monday's practice, will have surgery to repair a fractured fibula and is expected to miss six weeks, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Rankins' injury is a tough blow to the Saints' defense, which aded him with the 12th overall pick in this year's draft to beef up its front line. Furthermore, the Louisville product was impressive to this point in camp, even intercepting Tom Brady during joint practices with the Patriots last week. With Rankins now sidelined going into the regular season, Nick Fairley, John Jenkins and fellow rookie David Onyemata should see more reps at defensive tackle.

07/31/16WRVincent BrownUndisclosedNFIThe Saints released Brown (calf) with an injury settlement Thursday, removing him from injured reserve, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Brown joined the Saints in May, adding a veteran presence to a receiving corps lacking in experience. However, he failed his pre-training camp physical due to a strained calf, which will bring his brief tenure in New Orleans to a close. The severity of the injury will likely determine when he receives a chance with another organization.

08/22/16DLHenry AndersonKneePROBABLEAnderson (knee) will not play in the Colt's preseason game against the Eagles on Saturday, Mike Chappell of indysportscentral.com reports.

Anderson missed time this offseason and training camp as he recovered from a torn ACL. Though he was removed from the PUP list earlier this week, the team is being cautious and will sit him for the team's third preseason game. He may see the field for Indianapolis' final preseason game, next week Thursday against the Bengals.

08/22/16DBVontae DavisAnkleQUESTIONABLEDavis has ligament damage in ankle and is expected to miss at least first month of season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano had only termed Davis' injury as "week to week" but this report would indicate he'll be out much longer. With Davis, Patrick Robinson (groin), Darius Butler (hamstring) and Jalil Brown (ankle) all hurt, the Colts signed Antonio Cromartie on Monday.

08/10/16DLKendall LangfordKneeQUESTIONABLELangford (knee) is expected to be ready for Week 1, according to team doctors.

Earlier in the preseason, Langford suffered damage to cartilage in his knee but it shouldn't deter him from taking the field Week 1. Until then, look for Zach Kerr and Sterling Bailey to lead the charge at defensive end for the remainder of the preseason.

07/26/16DBClayton GeathersFootNFIGeathers (foot) is considered doubtful for the team's regular season opener, Kevin Bowen of Colts.com reports.

Geathers has been dealing with a foot injury that he suffered during the offseason and despite original expectations that it wasn't a long-term injury, it appears he won't be ready in time for Week 1. He's been limited to biking and treadmill work recently and hasn't done any cutting, which makes it seem as if Geathers could still be a ways off from a return to the field. T.J. Green is currently the leading candidate to start at free safety for the Colts.

07/22/16DLArthur JonesSuspensionSUSPENDJones will be suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL policy on PEDs, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

Jones missed the entire 2015 season due to torn ligaments in his ankle and did not participate in spring practices. He may have been sidelined to start the season even without the suspension, but this still hurts Indy's depth on the defensive line.
