Brown (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Carolina, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Brown missed Sunday's game against Seattle due to leg pains stemming from sickle-cell trait, but head coach Bruce Arians said Monday that he thought the issue would only require a one-week absence. Brown seemed to supported this notion by practicing throughout the week, albeit as a limited participant each day. According to Urban, Arians stood by his earlier statement when speaking to the media after Friday's practice, saying he still expects Brown to play in Sunday's game. Michael Floyd (hamstring) seems to be the bigger question mark, though he did return to practice Friday as a limited participant.
Fells (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Carolina, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Head coach Bruce Arians suggested Fells wouldn't miss any games, but it turns out he'll be out for at least one week. His absence shouldn't have much impact on the Arizona passing game, as Jermaine Gresham has been operating as the top tight end.
Floyd (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Carolina, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reports.
Floyd played through the injury in last week's overtime game against Seattle, helping the Cardinals cope with other injuries at his position. He then missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday, but his Friday return as a limited participant suggests he could be ready by Sunday. Meanwhile, John Brown (hamstring) is also listed as questionable, but his availability seems to be much less of a question than Floyd's. Should one of the two end up sitting, J.J. Nelson would likely get most of the snaps in three-wide sets.
Jefferson recorded nine solo tackles, including two tackles for loss, in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Only Jefferson and dollar linebacker Deone Bucannon have logged every defensive snap for the Cardinals this season, but the former has nearly doubled up the latter on the tackle front (39 versus 20) this season. As the team's leading tackler overall and for a loss (six), Jefferson has supplemented his lines with one sack, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. His breakout has thus placed him among the top-3 rated safeties, according to Pro Football Focus, with the Ravens' Eric Weddle and the Vikings' Harrison Smith.
