10/24/16DBDeiondre' HallAnkleQUESTIONABLEHall (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Packers, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.

News came earlier in the week that Hall's ankle injury would not require surgery, but the rookie cornerback will be out for at least Week 7's tilt, with his next opportunity to return coming Week 8 on Monday night against the Vikings. Sherrick McManis and Cre'von LeBlanc could be in line for additional reps when the Packers deploy multiple-receiver offensive sets, but their roles likely won't be affected too severely if Tracy Porter (knee) and Bryce Callahan (hamstring) are able to play.

10/05/16DLEgo FergusonSuspensionSUSPENDFerguson has been handed a four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reports.

After notching three tackles in four games, Ferguson was placed on season-ending injured reserve in October due to a nagging knee injury. Thus, his ban won't kick in until he's healthy enough to take the field during the 2016 campaign.

10/30/16CBMarcus BurleyHAMSTRINGQUESTIONABLEBurley (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday.

Burley missed last week's contest, and without practicing in full yet this week, he could be on track to sit out Sunday's matchup with the Jets.

10/30/16WRCorey ColemanHANDOUTColeman (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Coleman was able to practice this week for the first time since breaking his hand in late September, but he was not able to do enough in order to play in Week 8. While Coleman will remain sidelined this week, his participation in practice over the last couple days means he will have a chance to return to action in Week 9.

10/30/16CBJoe HadenGROINQUESTIONABLEHaden (groin) is considered questionable to play Sunday against the Jets.

Haden has been sidelined for three of the Browns' past five games, but coach Hue Jackson said Thursday he expects to have Cleveland's top cornerback available Sunday. While that bodes well for Haden suiting up, his status will need to be confirmed in advance of kickoff.

10/30/16QBCody KesslerCONCUSSIONOUTKessler (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jets, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Kessler remains subject to league protocol after suffering a concussion last weekend. With him unavailable, veteran Josh McCown will return from a broken collarbone to make his first start since Week 2 and rookie Kevin Hogan will assume the Browns' backup quarterback duties.

10/30/16CBJamar TaylorGROINQUESTIONABLEHead coach Hue Jackson expects Taylor (groin) to play Sunday against the Jets, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Taylor is listed as questionable to play due to a groin injury. However, the same injury limited him in practice last week, but he ultimately wound up playing in Week 7's matchup with the Bengals.

10/04/16WRJosh GordonSuspensionSUSPENDGordon will likely be released by the Browns, NFL.com reports.

As hinted by head coach Hue Jackson, the team no longer has any plans for Gordon, who will enter an in-patient rehab facility instead of returning from his suspension in Week 5. It's unclear how long Gordon will stay in the facility and when/if he plans to play again this season, but he should eventually draw interest around the league, unless he failed a drug test -- in which case he'd likely be suspended yet again.

07/31/16DBTrey CaldwellHamstringQUESTIONABLECaldwell suffered a hamstring injury during the onset of training camp, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

It's currently unclear whether the hamstring was merely tweaked or if Caldwell has suffered something worse. Either way, there has been no timeline provided for his return. When healthy, the Browns' fifth-round pick will compete for a role out of the slot.

07/28/16DLDesmond BryantChestOUTBryant (chest) has been placed on the injured reserve list and will sit out the entire season, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Entering his eighth NFL season and fourth with the Browns, Bryant was a lock to start at defensive end after a 2015 campaign which saw him record a career-high and team-leading six sacks. The torn pectoral muscle he suffered earlier this month was originally thought to keep him out 4-to-6 months, making November the soonest possible return date. Rather than push his recovery in the hopes of a return the team decided it best to shut him down for the season. Carl Nassib appears first in line to replace Bryant, but John Hughes and Dylan Wynn could see some extra snaps as well.
