06/15/16WRMarquess WilsonFoot Wilson, who re-fractured his left foot Tuesday, is out indefinitely.

Per the report, Wilson -- who missed the last five games of the 2015 season after breaking the same foot -- will undergo surgery this coming Monday and is thus a candidate to open the season on the PUP list. With Wilson ailing, look for Eddie Royal, Josh Bellamy and Marc Mariani, as well as Cameron Meredith, Daniel Braverman and Deonte Thompson to jostle for slotting on the Bears' wideout depth chart behind top options Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White.

04/08/16DBOmar BoldenKnee The Bears and Bolden agreed to a contract Thursday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The defections from head coach John Fox's previous employer, the Broncos, continue, as Bolden is the fourth such player to move from Denver to Chicago this offseason. In four seasons in the Mile-High City, Bolden served primarily on special teams, racking up 27 tackles in that domain while returning at least 13 kickoffs on three occasions. Expect him to serve in a similar capacity with the Bears.

04/08/16LBPernell McPheeKnee McPhee (knee) will miss this week's minicamp, and head coach John Fox was noncommittal as to whether McPhee will be ready for training camp in July, reports Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.

McPhee had arthroscopic surgery on his knee shortly after the 2015 season, and was not expected to be at full speed until training camp, so this isn't shocking news. However, having the outside linebacker at full strength for the regular season will be vital to the Bears' pass rush, as McPhee recorded five sacks in the first seven games of 2015 before being slowed down by the knee injury.

04/08/16DLCornelius WashingtonQuadriceps A quad injury caused the Bears to place defensive lineman Cornelius Washington on injured reserve, the team announced Monday. With an open roster spot, the team re-signed linebacker Sam Acho.

04/25/16WRDevin SmithKnee Smith (knee) is expected to begin training camp on the PUP list, making him "doubtful" to play in Week 1 against the Bengals, Rich Cimini of ESPN New York reports.

The recovery timetable for an ACL tear has dwindled in recent years, but such injuries need to be explored on a case-by-case basis. Considering Smith's rookie campaign came to a close in Week 14, it's no surprise that the final stages of his rehabilitation will extend into training camp, at least, and potentially into the regular season. Once healthy, though, he'll have a prime opportunity to succeed in a receiving corps that's unproven behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.

04/08/16DLMuhammad WilkersonLeg Wilkerson (leg) is not expected to attend the Jets' offseason program, NFL.com reports.

Wilkerson, who is still rehabbing from the broken fibula he suffered in Week 17, has yet to sign his $15.7 million franchise tag, as he continues to seek a long-term deal with the Jets. While his stance on a new contract could lead the Jets to entertain trade interest in him during the draft, Wilkerson's career-best 64 tackles and 12 sacks make him one of the league's best defensive lineman, and someone New York could obviously use after losing nose tackle Damon Harrison this offseason.

03/18/16DBDarrelle RevisWrist Revis practiced Wednesday for the first time since undergoing surgery on his wrist in March, NJ.com reports.

Revis was limited in his work, but it's certainly a major step in the right direction. Despite the return, it remains unclear if Revis will be able to full participate in training camp next month.
