04/27/16LBJadeveon ClowneyFootPROBABLEClowney won't require offseason foot surgery, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

In Week 16, Clowney sustained a foot injury that claimed his availability in the season finale and the wild-card loss to the Chiefs. Prior to that unfortunate development, he realized some of his vast potential as a pass rusher, racking up 4.5 sacks among 40 tackles (27 solo) and a forced fumble. If he can ever avoid the injury bug, he would augment an already imposing pass-rushing duo of J.J. Watt (groin) and Whitney Mercilus.

04/27/16RBArian FosterAchillesQUESTIONABLEFoster (Achilles) visited the Dolphins on Tuesday but left without a contract offer, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. Afterward, Miami executive Mike Tannenbaum told Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald that Foster is "a little bit away" from being healthy.

Foster is five months removed from tearing the Achilles in his right foot, so it's no surprise that he remains in the midst of rehabilitation. Coming off a three-year span in which he appeared in 25 of a possible 48 games, an incentive-laden deal is likely in the 29-year-old's future, but a team such as the Dolphins could use his veteran presence to groom 2015 fifth-round pick Jay Ajayi with Lamar Miller poised to serve as Foster's replacement in Houston. While other organizations are sure to inquire about Foster, his status for the 2016 campaign remains in limbo.

04/27/16DBCharles JamesFootPROBABLEJames was placed on injured reserve after suffering a foot injury in Sunday's win over the Titans.

James has been playing with a foot injury the past few weeks and it finally caught up with him.

04/27/16QBTom SavageShoulderPROBABLEThe Texans intend to place quarterback Tom Savage on injured reserve, which will end his 2015 season, a source told the NFL Network. Savage suffered a shoulder injury during a recent preseason game.
04/27/16DLJ.J. WattGroinPROBABLEWatt is nearly recovered from offseason groin surgery, Peter King of Sports Illustrated reports. "I am very, very close to being back to 100 percent," he said recently.

At the conclusion of the 2015 campaign, Watt was apparently sporting five partially or full torn core muscles, yet the ailments didn't stop him from nabbing his third NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in a four-year span. In particular, he notched 17.5 sacks among 76 tackles last season, to which he added three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in a full 16-game slate.

04/27/16WRArrelious BennCollarbonePROBABLEThe Eagles released wide receiver Arrelious Benn with an injury settlement, according to ESPN on Saturday. Benn suffered a concussion in the third week of preseason, but it was a back injury that caused him to land on the injury reserve to start the season before he was officially waived by Philadelphia.
04/27/16DBAaron ColvinSuspensionSUSPENDColvin has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 regular season for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances, The Florida Times-Union reports.

Colvin will remain eligible to participate in offseason and preseason activities, but will be sidelined for four games once the regular season kicks off. With Colvin out, offseason signing Price Amukamara becomes increasingly likely to start opposite Davon House at cornerback to begin this season.

04/27/16DLDante FowlerKneePROBABLEThe Jaguars have finalized the process of ending the season of defensive end and top pick Dante Fowler by placing him on injured reserve.
04/27/16WRAllen HurnsAbdomenPROBABLEHurns (sports hernia) expects to start running in approximately one month, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports. As for the offseason, he said, "OTAs, I'll definitely be ready. I'll be doing everything I'm supposed to be."

Hurns gutted out injury after injury in his second season en route to 64 catches (on 105 targets) for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns in 15 games. Missing only one outing due to his residence in the concussion protocol, he nonetheless required sports hernia surgery once the campaign concluded. If he indeed upholds his desired training schedule, he'll be present at the beginning of the Jaguars' offseason program in April.

04/27/16DLSen'Derrick MarksTricepsPROBABLEMarks (torn triceps) will be placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday afternoon, NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports.

It's been a rough 11 months for Marks, who managed 8.5 sacks and 44 tackles last season, but then suffered a torn ACL in Week 17. He subsequently made just four appearances this season, recording six tackles, three passes defensed and zero sacks. The good news is that he'll be further removed from the ACL injury next season, and the torn triceps should be healed before training camp.

04/27/16LBTelvin SmithShoulderPROBABLESmith (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.

The 2014 fifth-rounder finishes up his 2015 season with a fantasy-friendly 128 tackles, to go along with 2.5 sacks and a pick in 14 games. He's on track to reprise his starting outside linebacker role for the Jags in 2016, an assignment that will make Smith -- whose shoulder issue will not require offseason surgery -- worthy of continued IDP utility next year.

04/30/15WRJustin BlackmonSuspensionSUSPENDBlackmon was reportedly arrested Saturday in Ardmore, Oklahoma for driving under the influence, the Florida Times-Union reports.

Blackmon, who hasn't played since October of 2013, remains under contract with the Jaguars, but it seems increasingly unlikely that he'll play for the team again. At this time, the 25-year-old wideout remains under an indefinite suspension from the NFL.
