05/19/16WRPhillip DorsettHamstringPROBABLEDorsett left practice early on Tuesday with what is believed to be a hamstring injury, Stephen Holder of the Indy Star reports.

No updates were given on the injury but it will be something to keep an eye on as the offseason progresses.

    (Updated 05/18/2016)
05/19/16WRDonte MoncriefToePROBABLEMoncrief did not participate in Tuesday's OTAs as he was wearing a boot on his left foot after undergoing toe surgery in the offseason, according to Indianapolis WTTV.

Moncrief played with a toe injury the final month of the season and aggravated it in the last game. His return from the injury will be something to monitor this summer.

04/27/16DLHenry AndersonKneeQUESTIONABLEAnderson is aiming to complete his rehab from a torn ACL by Week 1 of the upcoming season, Kevin Bowen of the Colts' official site reports. "We haven't gotten into specific 'return to play' dates yet but everything is ahead of schedule so far," he said earlier this week. "My knee feels awesome."

The Colts lost both Andrew Luck and Anderson for the season during a Week 9 win versus the Broncos, but the defensive end's injury was lost in the wake of the franchise quarterback's ordeal. In any case, Anderson has embarked on his second ACL recovery -- the other occurred in high school -- as he attempts to show that his impressive rookie campaign wasn't a fluke. In parts of nine games before the injury, he notched one sack among 31 tackles (19 solo).

04/27/16DBVontae DavisFootPROBABLEDavis appears to be at 100 percent during the start of OTAs, Stephen Holder of the IndyStar reports.

Davis was ProFootballFocus.com's sixth highest-graded player in the entire NFL throughout the 2014 season, but dealt with a pesky foot injury in 2015 that hindered his week-to-week performance. Reportedly, however, Davis was nearly declared an injury scratch prior to multiple contests. Thus, the fact that he did play all 16 games may say more about his toughness than his 2015 performance may say about any sort of decline in ability. Now nearing full health, look for Davis to return to shut-down form in 2016.

04/27/16LBNate IrvingWristPROBABLEIrving (wrist) has received first-team reps at inside linebacker during the Colts' first week of OTAs, the Colts' official site reports.

The Colts are currently searching for Jerrell Freeman's successor at inside linebacker next to D'Qwell Jackson, and, if OTAs are any indication, the frontrunners for the gig include Irving and fellow LB Sio Moore. Both of whom have seen the most first-team reps while Jackson receives rest. However, Irving is coming off of two injury-marred seasons; his 2014 season as a Bronco ended with an ACL tear, and a wrist injury ended his most previous campaign with the Colts. Fortunately, head coach Chuck Pagano reports that Irving finally looks like he is completely over his blown-out knee from two seasons ago. If this is true, Irving should be viewed as the favorite to win this competition.

04/27/16LBJosh McNaryGroinPROBABLEMcNary (groin) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star reports.

A reserve inside linebacker, McNary hasn't seen much of the field since Jerrell Freeman returned from an injury in Week 15. McNary finishes his season with 14 tackles in 13 appearances, after registering 28 takedowns in 15 games last season. His contract runs through 2016, but there's a good chance he'll have to compete for a roster spot next year.

04/27/16DBTevin MitchelShoulderPROBABLEThe Colts have re-signed rookie cornerback Tevin Mitchel and waived safety Robert Smith, per the Indianapolis Star.

05/18/16WRDez BryantFootPROBABLEBryant will have an X-ray in the next few weeks to determine if he'll receive full clearance to resume football activities, the Dallas Morning News reports.

The Cowboys have relayed that Bryant is expected to be cleared for offseason practices in early June, but an X-ray appears to be the linchpin for the final decision. With OTAs taking place until their three-day mandatory minicamp commences on June 14, the organization will wait with bated breath for the news that Tony Romo's (back) No. 1 target is officially back in the fold.

    (Updated 05/28/2016)
05/18/16RBLance DunbarKneeQUESTIONABLEThe Cowboys aren't yet sure when Dunbar (torn ACL) will be able to resume football activities, and he could begin the regular season on the PUP list, Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com reports.

If that were the case, Dunbar would be required to miss the first six weeks of the season, but the progress of his recovery from the knee injury that ended his 2015 campaign should become clearer once training camp draws closer.

    (Updated 03/22/2016)
05/18/16QBTony RomoCollarbonePROBABLERomo (collarbone) is expected to be a full participant when the Cowboys start OTAs in late May, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Romo has reportedly recovered from his March 8 surgery a bit faster than expected, allowing him to take part in offseason workouts the past couple weeks. Meanwhile, Dez Bryant (foot) may not be ready for OTAs or June minicamp, but there's been no indication that he's behind schedule. Assuming Bryant avoids any major setbacks, Romo will have an excellent supporting cast in what figures to be a balanced Dallas offense.

    (Updated 05/10/2016)
04/27/16DBBarry ChurchArmPROBABLEChurch ended the season on IR due to a broken arm, but still recorded 117 tackles in 15 games.

It's the second time in his career that he's topped 100 tackles in a season, but Church failed to record an interception or even a pass defended in 2015, and the 27-year-old safety has increasingly been seen as a liability in pass coverage. First round pick Byron Jones seems like a lock to fill one of the safety spots for the Cowboys next season, but there's no guarantee that Church will be lined up next to him.

04/27/16DLTyrone CrawfordShoulderPROBABLECrawford says his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery is going well, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports. "It's extremely helpful to just have the strength back that I didn't have last year," Crawford said Friday. "I'm back up to almost where I was before the injury. I'm feeling real good. I'm feeling confident about it as well."

He also said he's prepared to move to defensive end for the first month of the season to cover for suspensions to Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence, a position he has played in the past before moving to the three-technique DT spot in coordinator Rod Marinelli's defense. "I'm going to do what I have to do. It's definitely a possibility if needed," Crawford said. "We can't have guys taking on such a big role they haven't taken on before, so it's all of us working together helping each other out." If Crawford does see significant snaps at DE over the first four weeks, he could be sneaky source of sacks in deep IDP leagues.

04/27/16DLRandy GregorySuspensionSUSPENDGregory has been suspended for the first four games of next season due to a violation of the league's substance abuse policy, David Helman of DallasCowboys.com reports.

Gregory notoriously slipped to the second round in last year's draft, despite being considered one of the best pass rushers available, after he was caught with marijuana in his system at the combine, and it looks like he hasn't yet cleaned up his act. This could put more pressure on the Cowboys to either re-sign Greg Hardy, select another pass-rushing DE like Joey Bosa or Noah Spence in this year's draft, or both.

    (Updated 02/19/2016)
04/27/16DLDemarcus LawrenceSuspensionSUSPENDLawrence is appealing his four-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Selected 34th overall in the 2014 draft, Lawrence had 55 tackles and eight sacks in 16 games last season, with seven of his sacks coming over the final eight weeks. Any reduction of his suspension would be fantastic news for a Dallas team that otherwise lacks talent at defensive end. 2015 second-rounder Randy Gregory is also suspended for the first four games of 2016 due to a substance abuse policy violation.

    (Updated 05/05/2016)
04/27/16LBSean LeeHamstringPROBABLELee underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Friday, but is expected to recover from the procedure within two weeks and participate in OTAs in late May, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Injuries have been a constant throughout Lee's six-year career, but it sounds like this latest operation is more of a cleanup procedure that shouldn't dim the linebacker's outlook heading into 2016. He's expected to start on the weak side again for the Cowboys after accruing 128 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 14 games last season while earning his first Pro Bowl nod.
