2017 NFL Draft Round 2
33 A+

Packers select: Kevin King, CB, Washington

Love this kid. Love this pick. Smart move by Ted Thompson. King is a hell of a corner.

34 B+

Jaguars select: Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
They needed to get help up front, so this makes sense -- if he's focused. He can play left tackle, guard or right tackle.

35 A
Seahawks select: Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State
This is another really good pick early in the round. He has top-10 talent, but there are some effort questions. Right team here.
36 A
Cardinals select: Budda Baker, S, Washington

I love his game. He is a play-making safety who will hit you and can cover. Reminds me of former Colt Bob Sanders.

37 B+
Bills select: Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina
He caught a ton of passes at East Carolina and will be a nice replacement for Robert Woods. He will be a 75-catch player in a year.
38 B+

Chargers select: Forrest Lamp, OL, Western Kentucky
They landed a player some scouts think is the best offensive lineman in the draft. And it fills a big-time need.

39 C

Jets select: Marcus Maye, S, Florida
It's weird to see them go safety-safety with so many needs. Maye is a solid player, but why two safeties?

40 B-

Panthers select: Curtis Samuel, WR/RB, Ohio State
He played running back and receiver, but I think he's a slot guy in the NFL. They need that in their offense.

41 B

Vikings select: Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
From a talent standpoint, it's a steal. He has star ability, but there are concerns off the field.

42 B

Saints select: Marcus Williams, S, Utah
There were some scouts who thought he was the second-best safety in the draft. But was it really a need?

43 B

Eagles select: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
There is risk coming off the torn Achilles tendon, but he could be a steal if it works out. And it is a big-time need.

44 C

Rams select: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
After taking Tyler Higbee last year, this is an odd pick. They need help on their line and in the secondary.

45 C-

Bears select: Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
They are a team that needs weapons, and this kid is a player the scouts really liked. But they had other pressing needs.

46 B+

Colts select: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
This is a need pick and they land a heck of a corner. He had first-round talent in the eyes of some personnel men.

47 B

Ravens select: Tyus Bowser, OLB, Houston
They needed to upgrade their edge rush, and this is  kid who has moved up a lot of boards in recent months. A good, solid pick.

48 B

Bengals select: Joe Mixon, RB, Oklahoma
From a talent standpoint, this is a big hit. Might be the best runner in the draft. But there is that baggage.

49 B

Redskins select: Ryan Anderson, OLB, Alabama
Anderson is weird body guy for an edge rusher, but he plays hard and knows how to get to the

50 B+

Buccaneers Justin Evans, SS, Texas A&M
He has great range, but he isn't a great tackler. It is a position of need, so I like it.

51 B

Broncos select: DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State
He was a productive player in college, a good pass rusher, and they need help up front.

52 B

Browns select: DeShone Kizer, QB, Browns
They finally take a quarterback, so give them credit. He has a ton of talent.

53 C

Lions select: Teez Tabor, CB, Florida
They need corner help, but he doesn't run well and he didn't do a lot to impress in the offseason with his testing.

54 B

Dolphins select: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
This is a need pick of a good football player. He will be a productive starter.

55 A

Giants select: Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama
I love this kid. He is a tough, physical player who loves the game. That is a hit.

56 B

Raiders select: Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut
A lot of scouts thought he was a first-round talent. He is raw, but what a physical freak.

57 B+

Texans select: Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt
He made a lot of tackles in a big-time conference. The Texans linebackers were an issue last year -- especially in coverage.

58 B

Seahawks select: Ethan Pocic, C, LSU
They need help on their line, but he's a center, and Justin Britt was their best lineman at center last year.

59 B

Chiefs select: Tanoh Kpassagnon, OLB/DE, Villanova
He is a raw, big, physical player, but he will have a learning curve. But he fits with what they do.

60 A

Cowboys select: Chidobe Awuzie, DB, Colorado
Getting a player this talented in this spot is a big time steal for the Cowboys.

61 B

Packers select: Josh Jones, S, NC State
I like Jones as a player, and he will help them get past the loss of Micah Hyde.

62 B-

Steelers select: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
I don't think this was an overwhelming need, but he was productive in a good conference.

63 B-

Bills select: Dion Dawkins, OG, Temple
They need help on the line and this is a kid who has starting ability right away. He plays with a nasty streak. .

64 B-

Panthers select: Taylor Moton, OT, Western Michigan
It's about time they addressed their offensive line. He was a good, solid player who held his own when matched against the big schools. Can play guard or tackle.
