49ers RB Carlos Hyde's arm in a sling as he misses practice
San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde missed practice on Tuesday as his arm was in a sling, per a report from Chris Biderman of USA TODAY. Hyde hurt his shoulder
Hyde hurt his shoulder during Sunday's loss at Buffalo, after which head coach Chip Kelly wasn't sure of Hyde's prognosis. Hyde left the game for a series before returning.
Offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins commented on Hyde Tuesday.
"I'm up in the booth, and when he went out, I think he came back in a couple times, but whatever his issue was, he worked on it and (RBs coach Tom Rathman) put in who he felt gave us the best chance to win," Modkins said. "That may have been based on health or whatever it was based on, but we'll see where Carlos is at when we move forward."
If Hyde is unable to play this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 49ers could turn to Mike Davis or Shaun Draughn as a replacement.
