49ers' Will Tukuafu suffers gruesome leg injury, ruled out
49ers fullback Will Tukuafu suffered a nasty-looking leg injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the 49ers-Panthers divisional playoff game.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The first reception in the career of 49ers fullback Will Tukuafu ended quite poorly. After catching the ball, Tukuafu suffered an ugly leg injury and is out with a knee injury.
Tukuafu was initially ruled "questionable to return" by the 49ers, which seemed a bit odd, given the way that his injury looked when he suffered it:
While he was being tackled by Captain Munnerlyn, Tukuafu's ankle appeared to bend in a terrifyingly awkward way.
We'll see whether or not he actually makes it back on the field. Questionable seems like a pretty big stretch at this point.
