The Bellevue, Wash., police department is investigating Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch after receiving an "allegation of an assault and personal property damage" at a local apartment early Sunday morning, the department said in news release issued Monday.

According to the department, via the Seattle Post Intelligencer, detectives are not investigating for domestic violence or sexual assault.

"The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved," part of the statement read. "No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time."

After briefly holding out at the start of training camp, Lynch reported to the Seahawks late last month after the team tweaked his contract. Lynch did not play in Seattle's first preseason game last week.
